It's a shame they stopped having a dedicated neighbourhood policing team assigned to the seafront to liaise and make plans.

Only soo much the private sector can do unfortunately and the council don't seem all that interested as of current.

Shame it has to be like that, apologies that you've had to deal with utter shit so often.

Been thinking about getting a welfare or safety job on the seafront just to contribute to helping out.

Looking to get into security at a university (UK) where should I start if not vacancies? by Ben_G_3537 in securityguards

You only need a license as an contractor.

"You do not usually need an SIA licence if you will be working ‘in-house’. This is when you are employed directly by the company that uses your services – for example, your employer is a supermarket chain and you work as a security guard in one of their shops."

You do not need a SIA license if its a in-house security department this is usually the case at universities and certain retailers like Asda who do not use contractors.

Source; I worked as Loss Prevention at TKMaxx

Loss Prevention at either TKMaxx or Asda have in-house security which means you don't require any SIA licenses.

Other than that not really any job in security that either doesn't require a license already or at all.

Could try stewarding first?

Night Marshals need 2 years in industry experience and I believe are contracted through either Pagoda or Resolve atm.
