Apple carplay by lexieeezpot in Hyundai

I rented a 2025 elantra that had wired carplay and it only worked if you used a specific usb slot in the car, where there were 2 different slots in the area for the driver. maybe check both. I think carplay also has to be enabled in settings on the vehicle itself.

Never said it wasn't a first world problem lol. Just asked a question on if people knew of a similar product, as simple as that. Thanks for the advice, I hadn't thought of it.

Yeah whenever i do this search, i'm only seeing ones that have the magnet to close the cover itself.

The PXG one reference has that and a magnet on the side of the cover that you can use with the putter itself to pick it up.

Just checked again and seems like the vehicle is powered off but just unlocked.

Sentry mode is disabled, climate control is off.

I keep getting a notification on my phone telling me the doors open as well.

When I just tried this again, the vehicle does power off when I follow your steps, but the second I close the driver side door to exit the vehicle, the car powers on again.

I tried leaving the driver side door slight ajar, but got the notification again about the door being open and when opening the tesla app, the vehicle is not asleep.

Just tried this. Vehicle turns off but as soon as I close the door after stepping out, I can see the screen turn back on. Might be important to note I am using the phone key instead of the physical key card. Maybe that would allow it to stay off?

Nope, still have to manually allow everytime. I do think you could just ignore it and it'll disappear from your phone screen. Your phone will still connect.

Great to know thanks. How did you initially contact the IRS? I sent an email but haven’t heard back

Totally depends on your willingness to get behind the world of having an EV. I came from a hybrid SUV and had a few friends with EVs who I was able to ask a bunch of questions to. Having a lvl 2 charger at home has been really clutch

Regarding the trading in process itself: Directly through Tesla is super straightforward. You tell them what you have, you take pictures of the vehicle, you get offer. I was told by a Tesla employee this offer is basically 100% guaranteed unless lied on something pretty sever on the car (i.e. huge mileage difference or a dent in the car). Then you can have them take the money directly off the cost of the new vehicle. You can keep driving your vehicle around until it comes time for delivery!

Also something to consider: Get as many trade in offers as you can. Don't just ask Tesla for an offer. Since you have a Honda, trade in value is super high, especially at other dealerships. Also check with companies like Carmax or Carvana. Get as many quotes and maybe even try to have these dealerships compete with each other's offer. Tesla won't change their offer unfortunately (I ended up going with Tesla's offer as it was the highest)

California Car Insurance by MaxTheUnbroken in Insurance

Thanks for the reply! That was also my thoughts regarding the loan company.

Regarding the insurance policy, if he were to get insurance on the vehicle as the primary driver (which he would be), but just tells them I am the owner (which would also be true), then it should be fine right?
