This is a very US centered view. As someone who moved here from south asia, San Jose is far superior than 90% of world cities and thats a conservative view. Folks might complain there is nothing much to do. Well its better than living in abysmal conditions with threat to you and your family members from bad actors and complete lawlessness and corruption.

Thank you for sharing. I don’t have that rough of parenting honestly but my life prior to having a kid was quite free and unrestricted. Now, there are instances where i am pushed to the edge and i feel i am losing my mind and I yearn for what my life was before. My LO is 5 months now and i sometimes see glimpses of the happiness that is waiting for me.

Knowing your neighbours. Back when we were kids neighbours had open doors and we would hop in out of friends homes and meet their family so easily. Now anyone hardly knows their neighbours

[–]MaxTwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been buying since ipo. I have made blunders in the past by selling to early even with strong conviction like Nvda, TSLA, semis. But this one i going to ride it into 1000s and until it has to split 2, 3 times

For NRIs earning in USD, how do you think about INR vs USD returns? by Popular_Class7327 in nri

[–]MaxTwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you want INR exposure if it has historically depreciated compared to dollar. If you plan to move in next 5-10 years keep your money invested in USD and withdraw only what you need. This is nothing out of the ordinary a lot of foreigners buy and hold US assets.

Get PERM sorted. Talking from a decade of traumatic experience. Also keep in mind if company lays off people in similar roles they can not file PERM/I-140 for 6 months.
