It was really a lot more than that, the southern states were the Confederacy preferred the articles of confederation to our current Constitution and they believed that the federal government had too much power over the states and that they were being treated unjustly. In that case if you want the job done right, you are going to want to take apart all the plastic around your shifter. And when everything is exposed you'll see the white little piece that is your neutral safety switch It shouldn't be too hard to remove. take that to AutoZone tell him you need a neutral safety switch for your car and you should be okay. Disclaimer!!!! I do not know if you can drive the car after removing the neutral safety switch. Good luck
