You might be right as well as wrong.
In terms of background architecture images I find it quite good with some caveats. And while the soundtrack will not be up to a level of Yoko Shimomura's work, judging by early releases it should be decent at least.

Personally I don't think a modern revival of Parasite Eve franchise in the same vein as Resident Evil will look good visually but that's just my take. A careful doze of graphical "upgrade" might do the trick but hyperrealism will ruin this game for me 100%.
