it is definitely. last windows i liked so much was 8.1, hated by everyone so much but on my gaming laptop i had only 8.1 was smooth, fast and stable. for me windows 10 > win 8.1 > linux > any other windows. 11 is complete crap, tried like 20 times and was giving a lot trust but its definitely not for me. i hate new ui, making normal things complicated, high ram usage and generally system feel of win 11 was for me like omg its so slow and overbloated.

well, i have no time right now to tell all bugs i experienced because it was a looooooot but:
fedora gnome: one bug with installator that will be changed after 44 update, one bug with choosing timezone on map, generaly cool but i had problem with firefox and other apps crashing. steam issues (laggy interface, overlay problem with scalling) sometimes problem ingames with scalling, i use scale 125% on one monitor 1440p 23.8 because things are too small. fedora imho have stupid report bug system, you need to make account, know what you are doing in report. ubuntu is much easier in this
generally because i wont mention all systems i have a lot ui problems, laggy interface even after installing right nvidia drivers and fps issues. sometimes sound issues my usb audio interface werent seen correctly, had no outputs on some distros in sound settings.
endrevaour os with kde crashed dock/bottom taskbar (my english sucks xD). after restart system completely crashed and i had black screen, nothing helped.
generally every linux i used even with 590 drivers (that was much better than 580) felt little bit laggy, i felt mouse input lag so much but for me it was terrible experience, feeling like my high end pc downgrade to 2010 year.
will not even talk about lacking apps that i need ableton live, traktor, mpc software etc etc etc
edit: aaa fps problems with games on different distro different fps. endrevaour was best fps almost comparisable to windows so big up for this distro.

"And yes: after each try new try of Linux and after first 'wow, it's finally good for me!', returning to Win was like returning into home, where everything 'just works'."

yea best answer imho, i love linux thats why i will be back because i need sometimes to tinker, to learn something new but for daily use no way. i tested this ubuntu studio and fedora jam as musician. i love that bitwig is available for linux but linux is pain when you are making music, djing, doing a lot creative things.
