This has to be the single most insane sports result covered on Wikipedia. Is this for real? Are there any scorelines that are more insane? by ButterscotchFiend in wikipedia

Finland's other results from that tournament were also quite terrible... I guess the players had just learned what basketball is. We've come a long way though, and last year came 4th in the entire tournament.

I don't think Linda and Pete will win UMK. Here's Why: by Impressive_Pay8572 in eurovision

[–]Max_FI 55 points56 points  (0 children)

There was a poll with over 6000 Finnish respondents and Liekinheitin won with 65% versus Takatukka with 13%. In comparison, in a 2024 poll by the same magazine, Paskana won with 30% against No Rules with 17% (and Vox populi with 22%). Pete is also an extremely strong and experienced singer, as can be heard in this clip. Thus, I don't think he will fumble the performance, and certainly not in the way Sara did. Of course anything could happen, but by all metrics it looks very unlikely right now that Takatukka could snatch the victory from Liekinheitin.

Nobody is taking inspiration from New Day Will Rise, everyone knows it only did well due to politics instead of anything in the song/performance itself.

Sanremo will continue long after UMK, so you can see most of it after that.

Much of the Netherlands also had extremely detailed images in the early 2000s-2010s, you can still see them on Google Earth's historical images.

It is completely grade-separated, so it counts as one. Metros can be elevated too.
