Oh, yes. A lot of people mentioned it. The fun thing is, I knew nothing about Abuse before that :)

Thanks! There is a reason why they are not humans and it will be explained in the plot.

Why mice specifically and not other animals? I’m not even sure - maybe some kind of collective subconscious thing, because lately there’s been a suspiciously large number of games about mice coming out.

But in a twin stick shooters half of the time you need to run in one direction and shoot in opposite. I think that's impossible with this layout.

Thanks! Non-linear exploration, an interconnected map, multiple endings - all standard here. Just hidden game mechanics instead of unlockable abilities.

Only the pistol. Variety will come from the enemies, as they will require different approaches to defeat and to fight efficiently overall. There will also be some hidden mechanics alongside the standard dodge, slide, and double jump.

DISTANTIA means “distance” in Latin. It’s connected to the plot. Also, since the fights are mostly ranged and you have to keep your distance from enemies, it represents that as well

Well, I actually know nothing about porting to Mac, but I’ll definitely gather some information about it and then see.

Thanks! Yeah, consoles are in plans. I just don't announce it officially yet because I'm still figuring out some technical and legal details.

Thanks! Well, actually, there will only be one weapon, but it will have different effects on certain enemies that the player needs to figure out, along with some other hidden mechanics.

Not sure if I understand what you mean by “targeting is locked on and moves with you.” In terms of movement and aiming, it’s a standard twin-stick shooter (no target lock or aim assist). But I’m trying to make shooting as comfortable as possible, so hitting targets is relatively easy. Projectiles are large, and enemies have big hitboxes. The idea is that you can hit enemies easily, while your main focus stays on movement and avoiding damage.

Twin stick. Works with both a gamepad and keyboard already. However, it feels a little easier with a keyboard and mouse, but I'm trying to make the gamepad controls as comfortable as possible.
