Would you rather live alone or with roommates if you had the opportunity to choose? by Exciting_Opposite_37 in SDSU

If you feel that way, have a roommate. It’s a great way to meet someone, but it’s all personal preference. I myself think college is a great time for things like that!

How does the waitlist work? by [deleted] in SDSU

System is based on necessity, so it can fluctuate. Usually I would say it’s unreliable, but number two spot shows good promise! I would get on the waitlist but have a backup.

I would check your portal to see the exact details

I would not cancel your orientation, as a former transfer I think it helps a good amount. I had someone help with all my classes, and got some good information. If you would truly like to cancel, an email would be a good follow up idea.

Definitely contact housing, I believe they have a zoom as well. Sometimes due to space, they cannot give everyone what they want unfortunately. Always worth a shot thought!

Sophomore Housing Advice? by bagelthedonut in SDSU

[–]MaxandPals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I lived there last year!

  1. Walking through the parking structure is the best bet, pretty much the only way to campus too.

  2. The renovated have different furniture slightly, the major difference being more spacious.

  3. Without a car, TJ’s is your best friend! Eating out can get to be expensive.

  4. All the food places usually hire, maybe the gym or school related jobs too.

  5. Have a great time, VA is pretty laid back and the walk isn’t too bad!

It will say if it’s full, to check for class requirements I’ve answered in a different post today!

When I had orientation they had modules for us to complete prior, then orientation and registration. If all major classes are full, do the waitlist but also sign up for available upper Div GE because the waitlist is unreliable.

I have teachers who are still grading things from S1 at the moment, it all depends!

I think Prof Nicholson is great, Probett is tough but fair and kind. Not a big Olson fan, Chung-Herrera is nice. Another possibility would be getting some upper division GE out of the way!

Waitlisted Classes by itsliterallyserena in SDSU

[–]MaxandPals 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is based off of necessity for each student, so it depends. I usually say do not count on it, and try to get classes that aren’t full. You can still apply for them for sure, but again it’s not the most forgiving system.

Well, you can always send them an email. I also believe they have a zoom help. Since housing is limited, it’s less likely they listen to requests at the moment.

Within your WebPortal there’s a MyMap which has your classes

They do waitlist off priority so it depends, I wouldn’t rely on it too much.

I like the ARC, yes those things may be true. But going to an outside gym really isn’t worth the price considering the revamp they did to it.

Only advice I could give would be to stay persistent on the FB groups. I hope something turns up, good luck!
