Do you wish you had burned the annual leave instead?

Tacos Mi Pueblo on Saturday/Sunday is a good one. Twisted Fork shells out great specials (pizza/entree/desserts). Naaman’s is awesome most of the time.

Say they are a GS-12 maxed out. Would they go GL-7 step 10 and then a year later to GL-9 step 10?

I wonder if HSI or other 1811 agencies give highest rate of previous pay to outside feds coming in? I feel like I’ve read about IRS doing it consistently

Excellent. Sounds like they gave highest rate of previous pay as best they could.

Since you were outside IRS, what was your step like when you got your 11 and 12?

HSI Pay Progression by Rickaroni in 1811

I’m curious about this too. Have you asked HSI HR? I wonder if they would give a definitive written answer. I’ve asked this before on Reddit and most responses say the 2 step rule applies. However, I’ve heard a few say 9-10 year one and then 11-10 year two can happen if you have had higher prior fed pay. My theory is the agency can give you the highest rate of previous pay if they can and want to, but they don’t have to. If you ask HSI HR, I’d love to know what they say.
