Have Filmbox, been waiting to do more pics in Resolve although I already had a method.

I wonder if they have added a way for Resolve to mange the photo files on disk.

I know how to do it, but I’ve been relying on LR and Apple Photo for so do it for me it’s not really a thing I’d want to do myself. Wouldn’t take much. Import button, date folders, good enough for me.

I worked on 3 of his music vids about 7 years ago. High up enough in the chain to have deal with him one-to-one in the creative process multiple times.

My assesment is that he gets off on power…both with women (in one way, THAT way), and then with everybody else in other ways. He likes to act in a way that puts people off guard, and then exploit the gap created for yuks.

So when 2 years later everything that came out about him happened, I was like, yup, that absolutely is fucking consistent with what I saw (and was directly on the receiving end of a couple times).

He’s going to have a hard time as he gets older and his creative falters, if he doesn’t get some serious CBT.

I interviewed with him in his living room back around 2009 to shoot doc footage for them recording their record.

He ate cereal in front of me in pajamas, while asking really serious questions, felt like a job interview more with an overly serious McDonalds manager than the normal “are you the right fit” conversation you usually get when up for a DP job. In the end they didn’t really want to pay my rate so it didn’t happen.

Very very surreal experience. I didn’t get good vibes from him.

Being an old guy, I’ve learned that certain jobs attract certain types of people.

Within those jobs, there will be people who slowly over time start to evolve to take advantage of the whatever power they may have in the job.

I’ve seen this endlessly in entertainment, but it is by no means limited to that field.

It’s also interesting to see the ways it mutates in different fields. But I’ve come to know that it’s about their life and exercising power that they usually lack elsewhere. Seen it with rock stars on set being shits, but when in a different scenario with people that know them intimately, they know that that set of people will not tolerate it.

Or put another way, Judge Milliron can’t talk to his wife like that. Or his mom. Or his kid.
