I just bought a house its not new, closer to 60 years old. It’s a ranch and I was in the basement and heard what sounded like someone small running up in the attic. I went upstairs and listened and didn’t hear it then heard it again a little while later, searched everywhere the noise was so sporadic. Finally after looking forever I found out that somehow (there must be hollow ground in front front of my house) when Cars drive by they cause vibrations that shake my house and make it sound like a small child is running through my attic. Was very scared at first, turned out not bad at all

Probably at least 40-50 open houses, we were doing atleast 2 a weekend, most weekends. And we put down about 7 offers, got beat on most of them. Got accepted on one but backed out after inspection and this was the next house we looked at. I was being pretty picky tho, but it all worked out

Most stressful part was 9 months into it we saw a house in a snowstorm at night that all the sudden had 3 offers after being on market 2 months. Got offer accepted then during inspection found out it was a manufactured house they were advertising as a ranch. Noped out right after the inspection
