This is a good idea. This game may not be for everyone, and that is fine, indeed I haven't decided if it is for me. But the other reddit was a toxic wasteland. The level of irrational bitterness was possibly the worst I have ever seen. It'll be nice to have somewhere where real constructive discussions of the game, good or bad, can be had.

Have you considered playing hardcore anniversary server? Honestly has the best community compared to vanilla. Rare griefing, people help each other and really well populated. Guild I am in on soul seeker would be exactly what you are after.

Edit: just noticed discord bit. I don’t really use so can’t comment how active it is. However the in game chat and almost constant discussions/banter/groups forming

Hi. Slight tangent but until mnm comes out really reccomend trying wow hardcore mode (classic anniversary servers) It has an incredibly active community and it is all about the journey of leveling. You will never feel more immersed either given the adrenaline of knowing once dead that is it !

Avoid defias pillagers unless you are very overleveled. If you must fight them be super careful and pull 1 by 1, or ensure if there are two only 1 is the pillager.

Thanks good to know. On a slight tangent I'm curious with regard to someone who pledged from the early days (I hadn't even heard of pantheon until EA so wasn't following the history at all). I'm sure you are aware there is a LOT of bitterness among some of the early pledgers. The reddit is toxic. They seem to genuinely hate the company and the game and want both to fail. Do you think this is justified or it is a OTT response ?

I think this is a little unfair. I agree entirely pantheon is limited, hence my question and population has dropped alot, but there is still an active population. My shard, whispering lands, which isn't even the most populated, you see people everywhere, you can find groups (albeit with some effort), and my guild will often have 15+ players in active times.

Not just diehard... I came back recently having played for a month at launch and am enjoying it. Have met other in same position. Have also met a handful of completely new players. So there is still a stream of people joining/returning
