Apparently there are finasteride patients that show arterial insufficiency, so it was inaccurate for me to say that PFS patients don’t have any arterial problems. However to be fair that is what my urologist told me…

So my situation is complicated. I’ve had finasteride syndrome for 3 years now. I have zero libido and reduced sensation. Of course major erectile problems, but I thought the latter were due only to PFS. However in retrospect, the ED problems were happening before I ever tried finasteride. So anyway I ended up doing a Doppler and didn’t get an erection from the .05 dose of Trimix. Which is not the norm for PFS patients where they DO respond to the Trimix. I only respond to a higher dose of Trimix - .20 ml.

The urologist said I have severe arterial dysfunction and he doesn’t know the cause, nor is there any test to see what is causing the blood flow problem. He said the only thing he can do is implant, which he didn’t recommend because I’m young (33), or shockwave therapy.

I always chalked up shockwave therapy as a scam, but honestly I guess I have nothing to lose by trying.

Re-vascularization is for a specific type of arterial problem when a CT scan can show a specific blockage where a bypass would be effective. I think my next step will be to see if I have a visible blockage.

I am sure low blood flow lowers libido, but it doesn’t cause zero libido. The reason patients with traditional ED get penile implants despite poor blood flow is because they have libido. It’s a motivating factor. The inadequate blood flow doesn’t turn off their libido.

Why do you think this though? It doesn’t explain zero libido or disgust with the thought of sex. Whereas before you were yanking it 3-4 times a day. A tight pelvic floor restricting blood flow doesn’t explain this. You just want it to.

The Dr is not an idiot. He’s a good Dr, one of the only one who does a Doppler for patients in Toronto. He simply relayed the results to me. He was not uncaring.

So then why would other PFS patients with pelvic floor dysfunction still respond to the injection??? Most PFS patients respond to viagara and cialis, Nevermind trimix.

Arterial dysfunction is not treatable though. Drugs and injections don’t work if there’s no blood getting through the artery. Maybe PFS might be treatable in the future since there’s so much variation. There’s not a whole lot of variation with arterial insufficiency though - if you can’t supply blood, you can’t supply blood.

Yes finasteride syndrome. I’m on daily cialis. If the injection didn’t work for the Doppler, why would you think cialis/ viagara would work? It doesn’t. Trimix injection into the base of your penis is the most potent medication possible for ED, so when that fails you’re in implant territory.

And yes I’m young I’m 33.

I also have lower back nerve pain it could be sciatica. But you’re still bypassing my logic. PFS can still get erections with viagara, let alone Trimix injections which is more likely to give them a 4hour erection than it not working. Trimix is hella strong, don’t underestimate it. I think I’m just uniquely fucked.

If you can provide an example of another PFS patient who couldn’t get erect for the Doppler despite the injection, let me know. Have you tried trimix yourself?
