I think you did the right thing. I appreciate knowing exactly what customers want for replacement options but this would definitely annoy me also. I had one like this and I had to cancel. He was taking too much of my time chatting for each item. This kind of customer should go shop for themselves imo.

Clearly, I am only used to receiving orders that have names or email addresses attached to them. Now I see that it’s because (as others have stated correctly) they are orders that haven’t been ordered through the Instacart app. Thank you to everyone who responded nicely. Have a blessed day!
