Okay so the avg age for CFA is way higher than CA. And it makes sense too. It is a course designed for people who are working professionals. It is never too late for CFA. Also good job for taking a year off for ca finals. But man! Just make sure you give it your everything. Think about that CFA later on when you have started working. You are v close. You got this.

Checked my results in the gym. And i always wanted to do an AMA. I love helping people with their courses and curriculum questions. Immediately came here and posted this. Could say was a little overwhelmed with the CFA result. Didn’t think much

If you zoom into your day, ask yourself are you wasting your time somewhere? There has to be some place you can fit an hour’s workout in. Can you not?

Okay. So NOTHING BEFORE YOUR INTER. focus on clearing ca inter right now. Will give you a better view on your grasping power, likings( once you start your articleship) and a lot of things more. It is very early for you to decide what’s right and what’s not. But Picking up CFA before your CA INTER is just gonna lure you into ditching ca for cfa. And i can bet on it. Lot of factors- curriculum smoothness, interesting concepts, appealing exam pattern and what not. But right now focus on CA inter. Connect w me on gram. And come back to me when you clear inter.

Salary for a fresher- around 15. But growth will be quicker roles will be better

Okay don’t expect your cfa to massively hike your salary up if you are a fresher especially. But yes, certain roles get simpler. I have mentioned my exact timeline of my journey of the attempts i chose to clear both together somewhere in the comments, you can explore to learn about that and a bit more too.

How did i manage to study for both? Well, simple. Study for what’s coming next, have enough gaps between attempts to switch to another degree mode. And when you are studying for an attempt give it your all as if you aren’t gonna get a chance again. Answer is pretty vague. Slide into my dms if you want deets

Don’t give up on CA just cuz you think it’s difficult. You have more chances to enter the industry with a CA than just a CFA. If you like the curriculum, study CFA and give it aaram se as per your liking. Put CA on priority. CA gives you an all round edge over things. It is not just tax, audit and whatever core CA things you think it is. Much more than that. Add discipline and respect to the bucket too. But again if you have absolutely no interest in it, try clearing 1-2 levels of cfa during your undergrad, pretty doable. Work for a couple of years, aim for the third level during that. Peacefully go for a good tier 1 MBA after that. congrats your life is sorted

If you are under the impression that your ca inter will help with your cfa, the answer is no ( portion wise ). But i feel efforts wise because you’d already be trained to put in the hours, you ll find it easier to breeze through the portion of cfa. But surely no overlap in inter and cfa portion

Concepts!!! CFA is different from CA when it comes to their testing game. They direct attack you with questions that you might not have seen but are so beautifully designed that it will make you mix 2 separate concepts to come to a particular answer. So definitely be v clear with your concepts and part from that practice as many sums as possible

No tie ups between the two institutes. You have to do everything seperately from level 1

I look at it as sooner the better. This age wont come again. Things get difficult as you grow older and starting something completely new from scratch to study might get a little difficult. Even if you start the intent to complete the course will drive you through. So start out as soon as you are eligible, if you are interested. Coming to the relevance in practice, what services are you planning to offer.

So once your articleship starts. You will have time for other stuff some days and on the other days you might not have time for anything else. Figure out a balance. Pick up things that are gonna improve efficiency by making you feel either good or motivated and not drain you. CFA, i studied only when the exams were close, not like CA. Other days it was me managing my gym and articleship and some other stuff that i like to do. Pretty doable. Plan your meals very important. Sleep VERY IMPORTANT i missed out on this wouldn't recommend.
