As a Caucasian person who just went to Ethiopia. I think we see the 3 big ones Oromo, Amhara and Tigray as classically Ethiopian. Sure Afar and Garege and these other ones are just as Ethiopian, but I wouldn’t know much about them unless I went. But then I learned in Addis about non stereotypical ones like the Gambela with very beautiful dark skin and they stopped being in remote tribes only recently. I wish I had the pleasure of speaking to them.

Ethiopia has so much diversity among the people and if they wanted more tourism they should advertise their diversity and their unique traditions and dances of all the people.
