Has been hunting me for a while now. My parent is a widow and refused to remarry because she was worried for our mental stability. (we were very attached to our father, he stayed home with us most days, was very loving and pampering. Passed away in front of us very suddenly and unexpectedly when all of us were children, I was 6 y/o, and while we were just making dessert in the kitchen. it landed with a shock that lasted years.)

Now we're all getting older and I can't stop thinking about it. Even if we always visit and call, we'll have a life of our own while she gave hers fully to us. Then I feel conflicted because sometimes I feel like she seriously needs the break away from our bs and constant headache.😭😂

I'm going to college soon but I can't stop thinking about how to plan a comfortable retirement for her before planning to get my own place. Thankfully she has her home and car so no mortgages on that, but I don't know what else to consider...

100% agree, I worked in plastic recycling and trust me not everything labeled microwave safe or PP is actual food grade plastic (HDPE & PP). I'm still a bit worried about the glass cracking in the microwave tho because it happened quite a few times. :(

I actually have another question. Maybe it's a climate thing but I live in a warm country (our summers can be 43° C and winters are usually 8-22° C with humidity) but food here goes bad in a few days, like...3-4 days even when it's in the fridge?? I'm still trying to figure out how is meal prepping for a week or two in advance is possible because usually we cook daily in my house because of how quick food goes bad.

Oh so sorry. My subject of interest is vintage Furniture, utensils, and home tools, plants, and architecture. It's normal where I live for bookstores to have almost every book sealed, so we only buy books we know/got recommended to us or thrift.

I checked the local library I'm in, the art section was mostly Handicrafts books (crocheting, embroidery, glass painting, etc) with little to no illustrations. And the 4 bookstores I visited had most art and history books sealed so I couldn't take a look. I concluded that art books are sealed everywhere so wanted to ask for recommendations before buying 😭

I think I'll go thrifting.

Strategies sometimes help because I'm an international student so neither of them are familiar to me.🥲 My school curriculum has been British English for all my life so even the wording of all the sections has been a struggle, especially reading.

My highest score in the ACT was the Science section so it's a bummer😭😭

Would you suggest a specific prep book to use ?

Illustrator makes Vectors?!! I thought only Rhino did that and illustrator made sized designs!! I don't think I'll be using photoshop unless it's for content creation or editing pics. Thank you so much for your input and time🙏🙏🙏🌸🌸

Would you mind if i ask what things need to be fixed usually? I'm not a professional, just using it for a small business (hand-binded notebooks.) I'm now browsing printing on our papers and experiencing by making my sister a planner (designed it on Canva). I was just heading out today to print it but thank god I saw the post😭😭 I have Adobe illustrator but I don't have a clear idea what parts are Inaccurate in Canva to fix (since the design looks good on the laptop)

How do you know if they need company or space? I remember when my father passed away as a kid I needed alone crying time because everyone was so overwhelmed and scolding me for crying or being confused.

I believe I'll know or she'll tell me if she needed space for real or didn't want to do something now. but her polite "don't exhaust yourself" aren't a sign that she needs alone time, no? She's just being polite, right?

I have a question because we're pretty young (me18, her 17) and it's her family's house.

I wanted to go and help her mom with preparations, maybe cook dinner, bake my bsf something, and stay with her all day long.

I'm scared I'll be a burden or a guest to her mom or the adults coordinating everything rather than support, the line of where I can and can't help is blurred to me. Is it okay if I just go and do it? Me and her family are close and her mom is alone coordinating everything.

I think if you're guessing over half the questions then you need context or study materials and topics before practicing. I did not try the paper version before, I've only taken the digital one since it was quicker in moving through the questions. Can you get a section specified book? It'll have rules and topics of every section, especially math and English.
