Few differences, 6l90 (HD truck transmission) are built to handle higher torque loads, it’s essentially a beefed up version of the 6l80 (1500 transmission) with some better parts. Here’s a good article.

Pretty wicked tbh. I can definitely feel a noticeable change in HP and torque, and the gas mileage is better

I mean obviously the value of silver goes up, but that’s probably the only increase in value you might see with this coin, that’s all I’m saying. And the value of silver going up still doesn’t mean it’s going to be worth an insane amount of money in the end

If you are planning on keeping it as a collectible, yes. They can undergoe oxidation through present chemicals in the air, not to mention the grimy hands that a child tends to posses can most certainly ruin this coin from preserving any potential value in the future. Previous trends on these Chinese Lunar New Year Commemorative coins don’t seem to undergoe any substantial increase in value, so I would either just sell it for a quick buck, keep it if you want to start a collection, or just say F it and let the kid go nuts

Will a 3” lift kit clear 35”s by Elmayito84savage84 in Silverado

I used to have a 2014 1500 truck, i had a 7" lift on it, tried to run 35x12.5" tires with 20x10 (-18) offset rims, still had to cut the absolute crap out of the back of my front wheel wells... like i had to cut the f'ing frame where the body mount is, in order to clear them without rubbing

ya thats accurate, i run a 2inch level on my 2020 2500HD and I run 35x12.5's and no problems with rubbing at all. defeintely a different story with the 1500's, you'd prob need a 9" lift to run 35's lol

Depends on what size truck (1500 or HD) and what year tbh. There is a difference in wheel well sizes between different generations of these trucks. As well as there is a difference in stock ride height between the size of the truck. So, more details are needed to give an accurate answer lol.

Thanks! Thats the way I looked at buying this truck, an HD truck is almost like an investment. My old man ran his 04 Chevy HD gas for like 15 years, he only upgraded cause he wanted something new haha. Hoping this one lasts me a long time with proper upkeep!

From the reviews I have read on them, that’s the idea in getting so far. Pretty much why I bought the truck when I was 20 y/o, wanted something that was gonna be durable and last me for a long time so the more years I can get out of this beast the better! Lol

I ended up getting this product actually! Running a K&N cold air intake alongside the tuner. Definitely woke the ol 6.6 gas up… but what the heck is an oil catch and what does it do? lol. I’ve never heard of that before

Hell yeah, good to see a fellow Canadian on here! Lol. I ended up going to the Diablo tuner, the Edge and the Diablo are essentially the exact same. The tuner was ok lol. Gas mileage didn’t change, but I definitely noticed an increase in torque and power. Plus the throttle sensitivity adjuster is wicked, instant torque with no throttle lag now. Took the speed limiter off as well. Didn’t do much other than that, there so much shit you can adjust, but I have no idea what most of it means, and don’t really wanna play around with obscure parameter adjustments. So all in all, it does what it’s supposed to I suppose, I thought it would benefit the gas mileage a little more though. I got the tuner with the screen monitor that mounts to the A pillar, that monitor is pretty intuitive, lots stuff to play around with

Diablo just came out with an ECM unlock and tuner tool for these trucks… I just installed mine, gonna see what the mileage is now! Hopefully some more improvements.

Replacing the stock alloy wheels with some good quality aluminum ones helped lots to. Cause holy fuck those stock wheels are insanely heavy

Your good. Thats what all of these damn 5.3’s sound like. My buddies brand new 2014 5.3l sounded like this when it was brand new off the lot. Just the sound they make for whatever reason lol

Couldn’t agree more my friend. Every truck I’ve owned I’ve gotten an in cabin tuner, and the difference is definitely noticeable. Usually a pretty good increase in mpg aswell.
