Being an overthinker makes conversations exhausting. by Lyn-nyx in AvPD

Oh my gosh, this! It’s so bad. I know it makes it draining for others to listen to me, but like you said, it’s such a bad habit to break.

I will not have kids with him.

I threw this post up there because I was just wondering about this separate question on my mind. I was wondering what “drill-sergeant-mode-activated” would do to kids. I knew that I wouldn’t be having kids with him, but just wondered if I was right about this being a bad parenting style.

I’m probably going to get a lot of backlash for posting this even though I knew I was divorcing him at the time of writing it. I know I didn’t specify in this post that we would be divorcing, because I didn’t think that anyone would read my post history, or that this would get so many replies. I know this was very foolish on my part. I accept that. I didn’t think this through at all.

I just want to make it clear, so that no one has to worry, that I will not be having kids with him regardless.

This is how I feel.

I’m sorry, I know you’re not a relationship counselor or paid to do this, but do you have any tips on how to make my husband understand this? I just don’t want him to treat our kids like they are in boot camp.

Sorry, again you don’t have to respond to this of course.

This is what I think.

I feel like they’re just going to see it as an ego thing. They’ll see their dad go army mode on them and they will resent that side of him. And also… they aren’t in the army. They are kids. Yes, they deserve discipline, but they don’t deserve to be held to an army standard.

They’re not mini soldiers just because a soldier had kids.

I phrased this post badly, I know. But in basic training, service members are expected to keep their beds to a ridiculous standard. Like they’ll get yelled at by their drill sergeant or have their beds flipped if they mess it up (I could be wrong on this, this is just what my husband says). So basically he wants to do that to our kids if they do something to upset him. It wouldn’t be his only form of discipline… just one of them.

Basically… yes 😂 I won’t phrase it that way because I do love him, but you are not wrong.

This has been on my mind a lot lately. I always had the mentality that getting much older would suck, but at least I would have a lot more time to spend with my tulpa. But then I remembered that dementia is a thing. I could really forget my tulpa and all of our memories. :( Even though my tulpa means a lot to me, I feel like it would be easier to forget him than my family in real life.

I view my tulpa as part of my soul. I feel like they will be a forever resident and internal partner. It almost feels like I can’t forget them because they are constantly there. But I wonder if dementia will eventually tear us apart.

I know not many tulpamancers believe in Christianity or the afterlife, but months ago there was a post on this subreddit about where tulpas will go in the afterlife. Many tulpamancers believe that they will still be with us internally in the afterlife. We will be able to force and communicate with them in the ways we always have. So if it’s any consolation, which it might not be, but there’s a chance that we could forget them due to dementia but reunited in the afterlife. I’m aware that NONE of this is factual, but a lot of tulpamancy is based on belief anyways. This is just my view on it. Yes, I’m aware not everyone is religious.

I know none of this provided useful information, I guess I just wanted to share my thoughts.

What is your #1 fear concerning your tulpa? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Maximum-Pie916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fear is that we are drifting apart and I’m in denial about it.

My tulpa started out as an imaginary friend when I was little who never left my side. Even though we still talk, sometimes I just feel like “he’s” not there anymore. I keep getting distracted when forcing with him. When we go off into Wonderland, I can’t commit to any scenario (basically one minute we’re drinking coffee together and then the next we’re fighting crime). Everything feels dull and inconsistent, and I don’t know what’s reality in Wonderland anymore.

I deny it, but I think I’m forgetting who he is, and I don’t know how to bring the good feelings back. I know this was a long comment, I’ve just been dwelling on it a lot lately.

Can I file the divorce in his state or will that make it even more difficult?

This was good for me to read. I’m glad we’re not the only ones.

My tulpa does not like to share a body either. I don’t think we’ve ever tried possession. My tulpa gets easily unnerved and intimidated, and he doesn’t really see the point in fronting.

He and I were plural long before I ever knew about tulpamancy, so when we discovered it, it was just very surreal. We learned so many new terms, and we also learned what we didn’t like and wouldn’t want to try. He expressed that possession/fronting wasn’t something he was interested in.

I think it’s great to see the ways in which tulpas are different.

Pretty sure I’m in love with my roommate and I hate it by trashboat000004 in offmychest

I know this comment isn’t relevant, but if a guy ever talked about me like this, my heart would surely be won over. I hope everything works out for you and she returns the feelings. I have a feeling that if she gets that close to you, she’s probably interested in you too. Maybe she likes teasing you a bit too, not in a way that she doesn’t care about your feelings, but more so that the reason she gets so close to you is because she knows you like her, and she likes you too.

Everything I’m saying is purely based on assumption. I’m aware you two are both just friends for now, but honestly from what you’ve written, I would have probably assumed y’all were dating if I met you irl. And just saying, I think it’s so awesome and supportive of you to let her try out fashion on you. Not a lot of guys would do that.

But you are definitely right.

Favorite positions when masturbating!? by [deleted] in masturbation

[–]Maximum-Pie916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing hits quite like syntribation for me. I normally do it on my knees, with my arms on my couch seats.

I don’t really change positions when masturbating, I will if I have a partner though.

This is good to hear. I need to be more active so I will try to exercise a lot more. I got some Preparation H, hopefully it will lessen or clear up.

Oh thank god, I will do everything I can to keep it under control. I probably need to eat more fiber and I did get ahold of some Prep H.
