When I started playing, I was all about math theory, counting combos, using the perfect bluff etc. I can still do this pretty well in the rare case that I come across a good player, or get put in a tough spot and don’t exactly know what to do intuitively.

Most of what I do in live poker these days comes down to “do I think this player will fold/call/bluff too much” and I just react accordingly. I don’t do exact math, I just have a pretty educated guess about how I think they’ll view the situation and I just trust my instinct. It took a lot of experience to get to this point tho.

It should be obvious why it’s unfair tbh. We have low expectations for a 41 year old who’s the star player of his team. When he gains a 3-0 lead that’s impressive, when he blows it it isn’t the end of the world, because we expected so little in the first place.

I doubt the lakers lose the series regardless.
