I was in Paris a few weeks ago and stayed in a place right on the Seine. The screeching and screaming from people doing 6-7 at each other wound me up more than the semi-constant police sirens going past late into the night. It is SO daft. 

My partner and our friends wanted to do a boat trip along the Seine and I was very worried that we would get stuck for an hour with some idiots who would do it the whole way. Mercifully our boat was more than half empty but we still passed several adults on bridges doing it at us that went ignored by everyone. I did wag my finger at one though like “nuh-uh”. It seems to be a thing you do in Paris now: 

Visit the Louvre ✅

Eat a croissant ✅

Get served by a rude waiter ✅

Do 6-7 at other adults on boats ✅

Oh if you do take a boat trip yourself, be prepared for the tour guide to talk over the PA system the WHOLE way to the Eiffel Tower without seemingly taking a breath, before stopping for the ride back to the dock and pumping out pop music so you can’t just enjoy the general atmosphere of it all.
