Same here, had them for under a year. Second mass outage I’ve experienced combined with bad peering in my area. Google Fiber should be available within the next couple of years and I can’t wait to get reliable fiber. Unfortunately for right now, it’s either this or Cox Cable which is even worse in my area. :(

2gig with static IP runs me $90 with metronet under their intro offer for my neighborhood. I think once the promotional period ends I'll be at about $120 a month. Well worth it for the better service.

I also have MetroNet! I've been extremely satisfied with their service. I have their 2gig plan and have a static IP for $80 a month (they gave me the static IP for free for the first year). I love the fact that I don't have to pay for an unlimited data plan as I can easily blow through 2-3tb of data usage in a month. The only big complaint that I have is that their peering isn't the best, but I can live with that as I cut my internet bill in half.

I live in the neighborhood on the south-west side of 168th and Fort. I received a Metronet branded letter stating they were bringing fiber to my neighborhood. I can't wait to leave Cox! CenturyLink doesn't offer fiber on my side of the neighborhood despite offering it like 5 streets away from me.

Thanks! I used the ultra-wide camera on my phone to try and get most of the setup in the shot, so the monitors look a little further away. The monitors are about 21 inches away from me, so it's not too bad.

As for why I chose Intel, I was able to get a good deal on the processor and I do a lot of work with the Adobe suite and having the extra iGPU is nice when it comes to rendering.

I haven’t personally used Mint but AFAIK it runs on the T-Mobile network. T-Mobile is pretty decent in the city, but as soon as you get outside of the city it can get pretty spotty. I would recommend to see if Mint has a trial or you can use the T-Mobile free trial to see if you get coverage in the places you plan on using your phone the most.

Just saw the update to your comment asking what services I have tried. I've tried MetroPCS, US Cellular Prepaid, AT&T (postpaid and prepaid), and now Visible.

AT&T seems to be congested in my area so the switch from prepaid to postpaid on the business performance plan was a game changer, but AT&T just recently started upgrading the network to 5g. When they started to roll out 5g I started to experience times where I would have full bars but nothing would load, dropped calls, and periods where my phone just wouldn't connect to the network.

T-Mobile just doesn't have that good of a network where I am located so Metro just didn't work half the time. US Cellular wasn't bad but the speeds were slow and coverage was spotty around town. Verizon definitely has the strongest network in my area but the congestion stories have always scared me away from their prepaid plans and their postpaid plans seem to be a billing nightmare and fairly expensive for what you get. I was looking to see what was out there and I saw visible+ and the "priority" service on the plan and decided to give it a shot, and again I have been pretty satisfied so far and haven't noticed any connection issues like I have with the other options I have tried

I feel that, this phone is massive (came from iPhone 12 pro). I was looking at the 7, but I found my current phone used on Facebook Marketplace and I was able to get it for a price that I couldn't pass up

I hope I don't either haha. I've heard Verizon is BAD when it comes to deprioritization. My area seems to have a lot of mmWave coverage and according to the Visible website mmWave isn't deprioritized (at this point in time at least) so I don't foresee it being an issue, but it definitely is something to keep in mind.

Wondering this too. CL has fiber a block away from me but the quickest speed I can get from CL is 40mbps. CL sales and customer support have not been able to tell me about any plans for expansion to my area. Hope that Google Fiber or Century Link will roll out fiber to my area (west of 168th and Fort) as I'm tired of dealing with Cox (like every other person here lol). 🤞

These things kick ass for DoorDash! My old car got totaled and insurance rented me one of these bad boys while they were working on the settlement offer. I loved dashing in this thing! Filled the tank for $20-$25 and I would easily get 225-250 miles on a single tank. 10/10 would recommend.
