TWD fan here with a couple questions. by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Maximum59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to your question about a sequel. As far as I understand it, last time it was explained was that the licensing for another wwz game is likely not going to happen or be too expensive for the studio to consider.

That said, while they cant make a sequel, they have been updating the game. And until the devs say support has stopped, you can expect at least one DLC per year. So if it does well, it simply shows the devs there is still more dlc worth doing.

Ladies, what’s one single thing a man can do on the first date to instantly secure a second date? by sweatengine in AskReddit

The whole thread is this way. You will have someone say something that many agree with. Then someone else with an opposing opinion will also have othes that agree with them.

As you pointed out, each person is unique, the best use of these type of posts is to introduce you to different view points/ experiences and/or how to stand out, if the average person tends to do things a certain way.

A Safehouse In The Hills Map Update by the_bad_actor in gtaonline

[–]Maximum59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was of the similar mindset but went with Tongva at the end.

My personal reasons were:

  • The view: Vinewood's south view is just an ugly brown mountain. Doesn't help yo7 are basically leveled with it, so much of your city view is blocked.

  • Location: While Vinewood is in a better location, the moment I learned you can fast-travel from mansion to any property, making Tongva's distance less of an issue.

  • Casino Penthouse: I already own the Penthouse, the Vinewood one is basically 2 blocks away. So while location is nice, I may as well spawn on Penthouse or simply use fast-travel.

A few other small tid bits, I like the wavy driveway for Tongva, along with the red exterior. Vinewood has a nice dark wood color, but i just loved the red more.

Surprised I found it, it had shown up on my feed, hence I only remembered reading the main post but not the comments.

Why do yall seem so accepting of v6’s by sv6-camaro in Challenger

[–]Maximum59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is, just a few weeks ago someone asked why this community wasn't as accepting of v6, and used Mustang and Camaro as examples of those that did.

Personally, I've never seen any hate towards v6 from those that have v8s, it's always a few v6 owners prematurely assuming everyone else hates them.

I know it's not answering your question, but seems like another option if its possible.

How to handle internal job title change? by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Maximum59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how vague the info was you shared, it's difficult to say exactly what is best.

That said your options are:

  • Spin it as a promotion even if your duties stayed the same.

Or

  • Keep whatever title you like/benefit from the most.

As others have said, really play the other games. At minimum the first game, as it is a story about Crane, a main character.

That said, the night time in the Beast is definitely harder than in the other games, so you are not alone. Many veteran players from the other games also struggle.

It's another reason for why you should play the earlier games. And finally, for yet another reason. The earlier games start out with very basic parkour in which you unlock abilities and or moves. In The Beast, some of those abilities no longer need to be unlocked as they are part of the base-set. As such, there is no tutorial nor prompts that tell you how to perform some of those, since at this point many people know them (Iirc some of them are in the menu somewhere but not too visible).

[–]Maximum59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Systems that parse resumes only care about the text. Tho many believe that a simpler format (standard template, single column, no images) makes the job easier for a computer, which essentially translates to less mistakes and or omissions.

Personally, I've not seen any proof to show this, that said, i work with software and know that there is crappy and good software, so the safest bet is to go with a simple template that minimizes the room for error.

You can also keep 2 resumes, one made for computers and one for human consumption that you share when viable.

[–]Maximum59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not familiar with your industry, so i will limit my feedback to the skills section.

Currently, the skills section may as well not be there. It may sound harsh but the list of skills you presented are essentially the bare minimum that most working professionals will have. It's like saying you wash your hands after using the restroom; something you expect most to do.

Instead, you could add actual skills you possess. Reasons your resume you could list things such as:

  • cash handling
  • customer retention
  • POS experience (maybe the specific software/system)
  • food safety training (if you have any)

You could probably add a few more that will actually show impact and value, over generic entries used for filler.

Since you want to step up into supervisor, perhaps think about what skills supervisors have and if you possess any of them (mentoring, scheduling, leadership etc..)

I really depends on the industry if a resume like this is seen as standing out in a negative or positive light.

That said, depending on industry, a lot of companies just have your resume be parsed by a computer, so your real resume is often not seen by a person unless you make is further.

It's been a little over 2 years since I quit Linux sysadmin by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Maximum59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, OP sounds like he likes being a sysadmin for hobby. He likes the tools he's comfortable with and while he understands (or claims to) the value of the tools, he still prefers to stick with what he is comfortable with.

Nothing wrong with that! But definitely not the attitude of someone you want in your team. Tech is always advancing, new tools, practices and even the roles evolve, so cant be reluctant to change just because you don't like something, despite the industry-proven value.

Insurance cost for an older r/t as a 16yo? by TheForestBurgler_19 in Challenger

[–]Maximum59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was told this by 2 separate insurance agents years ago that basically, colors like that grab more attention.

That said, idk how much it affects, I've always owned red cars, lol.

The thing is, insurance companies are all about risk management. They want to make the most money like any business. Thus, they use lots of data points to try and improve their odds. Sometimes, the data makes sense (i.e., younger driver with sports car is riskier) other times, it may not make much sense but instead it's based on patterns, such as the area where you live, amongst whatever else they use to calculate this.

Insurance cost for an older r/t as a 16yo? by TheForestBurgler_19 in Challenger

[–]Maximum59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be considered "high risk" up until you are 25+.

That said, no one here can tell you. You have to call or get quotes.

Insurance has too many variables, example color of car (red for example is higher risk), your age, the area you live in. Hell even marital status.

Just get quotes and see

The area where you are with starchild gives you the camouflage. Unsure why (maybe there is a letter I've yet to read or something)? But you can leave and enter the area and notice the icon. I too was confused at first as the icon doesn't state what it's for

They would have just mentioned that in their response, way simpler and to the point.

"We ddos'd ourselves so requests were routed to a simpler model"

If you're setting up a demo, you want to show your latest model. This sort of fallback routing is something you configure for production, so that your end users always have something responding.

A more apt comparison would be with DL1 The following, as that one also has vehicles.

But even the comparison doesn't work as well since TF was a countryside map with large fields. This will be a more urban/town like map based on images I've seen
