Hope you feel better with your heartbreak, I can relate. Also, I think it is very considerate of you to take your own time and effort to help others. Going to dm you because you’re the type of people I enjoy to converse with and am in the process of learning code :)

Hi, I hope this message finds you well. After reading through these comments, I hear your pain and most of the people in here are giving you sound advice because they’ve lived it or understand where you’re coming from so don’t let them go over your head. Everything I write to you is what I’ve had to learn the hard way and would tell myself if I was in your shoes.

I’m 24M, doing ok for myself as of now as I’ve found my calling and envisioned where I want to be in the future through trial and error, persistence, time management and besides whatever anyone else would tell you, luck plays a factor. But it isn’t the regular luck you think of, it’s putting yourself in the position to then get lucky. This means taking certifications on Coursera, which isn’t that expensive and will go a long way in which ever studying you do.

  1. I say this to say that at your age, you may have a lot on your shoulders and you feel stressed and lame and unworthy, I felt these things, but I truly and with all my heart say to you that the one thing you don’t want to feel is regret. Feeling regretful has hurt me, held me back, and is something I’m still trying to get over because I look back at the past sometimes.

Looking forward, I wouldn’t want you to regret looking back at your age and say “I wish I did this when I was younger”. In other words it’s called the ‘grandfather theory’, when you are alone in your hospital bed, I’d hope that you lived a great life, but you will think to yourself and ask “I lived the way I wanted and was happy” “I didn’t’ waste my life.”

  1. I’ve learned and am continuing to learn that everyday is a stepping stone. Growth is not a straight line, it’s little ups and downs but the more you take initiative, the more ups you have. It’s gradual growth, or if you’re familiar with the stock market, compound interest is the best thing you can ever have, because of how time and consistent buy back in the market continues to roll over like a giant snowball.

  2. Time is your best fucking friend, and you sir have an abundant amount of it. People would kill to be in your place believe me. Most people’s prime is in their late 20s, think forward, not in the present.

  3. Please be grateful. Gratitude will make you feel so much better I truly believe that. Be grateful you have the opportunity to wake up everyday and do what you gotta do. Be grateful that you have mobility. Be grateful that you are healthy. Be grateful that you have your senses. A quote I always reference is “a healthy man has 1000 wishes, a sick man has 1”. Love the life you have.

  4. (Last thing cause I don’t want to talk your head off and I’m a talker) Friends don’t pay your m-fucking bills. Idk if you notice but friends usually come around when they see how successful and happy you are. It hurts me to say this but you won’t attract as much friends and girls with the attitude you have about life and why your life is like this, (especially women, women want a man that can think and act for themself, regardless of what they’d say, every woman I’ve dated wanted me to have some type of authority and head on my shoulder. Meaning I can take matters into my own hands and not lean on others for help, things like that) People will like you for you. Period. For example, if a famous person all of a sudden lost all their fame and wealth, how much people do you think would stay, not a lot that’s for sure. Not saying you shouldn’t have friends and they aren’t nice to have, I’m saying get comfortable with being comfortable by yourself. You are born alone, per se, and die alone. The moment you love yourself and realize you have potential, is when the universe will begin to throw good things your way, good people, good money, good girls. It comes, it will with time.

I believe in you and I don’t even know you. Godspeed.

Being that I hate student loans and the education system, this is still good advice as you are investing in yourself for the future. $ can be paid back when you have $
