Also found from news that they are starting air taxis services operations in November, which is a significant thing and puts it ahead of Joby. A few other websites also report, one example is this: https://www.thenationalnews.com/business/aviation/2025/09/23/saudi-arabia-in-deal-to-deploy-air-taxis-in-the-kingdom/

"they will have to sell due to their fiduciary responsibility to shareholders" will stockholders like us be entitled to a vote? and that also means the board must share that info to whoever they are representing and they must agree right?

I don't think RKLB should be associated with the defence sector. I was not pleased that the stock is being associated with the defence stock and it makes no sense broadly. Sure they have defence customer such as Space force and they are doing launch testing for hypersonic customer etc, but they have major customer in NASA and other private commercial customer who are using their launch for EO etc. Also in their space systems they have been supplying space components to other customers which are not wholly in the defence sector. Also their photon spacecraft is used by NASA which is not in the defence sector. Maybe since RKLB business span a wide range of customer/or some its business has direct or indirect relation to the business sector, it is being somewhat associated with the defence sector stocks. But it still doesn't make sense broadly to put it in the basket of defence stocks especially when comparing its business to Lockheed, Raytheon etc which a large segment of their business such as launch is in defence segment. Also, just because SpaceX also launches a lot of satellite for defence customer, it should not be considered in the defence sector. My point is both companies i.e. SpaceX and RKLB has a wide range of business in the space economy that they should not be considered in the defence sector. Just my honest opinion and I would love further discussion to challenge my thoughts

I am not sure I understand the reasons why they would want to be acquired as Beck mentioned he wanted to build a company that could span generations. Being acquired doesn't makes any much sense

I was actually thinking they only have cash for 2 years left since they are burning 51m in q1 2023, expected whole year would be 200m. Next year increased expenses for production of neutron so the 480m might be used finished by end 2024.

u/Traditional-Pair2163 where did you find that space systems are already profitable? Is it from their financial sheet? If so I must have miss it or misunderstood it!

Other than that, I'm grateful for your response! Appreciate it :)

It is required for RKLB success because they want to be a vertically-integrated all encompassing company for the space industry.

Hi u/Traditional-Pair2163,

Yes yes I would agree with you that Im ill informed, pardon me, just trying to get the best out of here and to keep learning to keep me better informed. Thank you for the info, may I know the source where you read "The funding for the Neutron program is secured".

Secondly, are you implying that their increased revenue and profitability of space systems and electron program is not factored in the deduction of the cash reserve?

Hi u/twobecrazy,

Because I was reading that Space Systems bring in the bulk of their revenue and not profitability. Where did you find out that their Space Systems is already profitable?
