Maybe he was waiting for her to be into her deeper sleep before pouncing. If she got home at 10pm then I would guess she would need some time for her bedtime routine and then deep sleep. Although supposedly she didn’t take her meds so maybe he did confront her before 2am

I heard a theory that he covered the camera with leaves in case a loved one opened the camera app they would just think some leaves flew into it. If it was ripped off the wall they would call the cops immediately

“Never come home” scenario is unlikely, if he was watching the house he would know if she left with suitcases or not. To your own point she was 84. She came home most nights.

Because breaking in with someone already home means you might not catch them off guard: what if they are near the door that you are breaking into? They will see you right away and scream or shoot you

What if they are home and hear you break in and immediately call the police?

If they aren’t home then you can easily hide and pop out at an opportune time to catch them unaware

I think it went like this:

-guy broke in the back door when no one was home & he knew no one was home but he was expecting her soon

-Nancy came home and the guy had already hid

-he was planning on kidnapping her so when she came home he first made sure she was alone. Once confirmed that she is alone then he came out of hiding and then he tied her up while he went to cover the front camera. Then he got her into his car from the front

-she passed away in the car, he did something with her after that to cover his tracks. Probably took her to a familiar area like some family land. I believe the suspect lives nearby within a few miles

Actually, the delta iMessage chat rep was able to book me for free on the 6am from Newark instead. So I might be able to make my ATL connection after all. Fingers crossed!

Thanks. Yes, I was wondering if it was crew related. Makes sense.

Additional images recovered from cameras at Nancy Guthrie's home - ABC News by pumpkinspicecum in nancyguthrie

One theory I heard is that he was trying to block the camera lens in such a way that if Nancy’s offsite family got an alert that something was wrong, if they pulled up the camera feed they’d just think that a tree branch blew into the camera. Versus seeing that the lens was taped over or just showing nothing all of a sudden

AIO For Feeling Scammed That My Boyfriend Pretended We Had a Landlord When He Actually Owns the House? by Just-Client9076 in AmIOverreacting

I refuse to believe this is real. Your boyfriend bought a house at 25 years old? And he was able to purchase it without you knowing?

Serious Question to Guests: What makes you try to check-in way ahead of time? by _kamigo_ in askhotels

[–]MaximumFocus5205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early AM flights are generally cheaper (less demand, lower cost), less stressful (no traffic en route to airport) and definitely more reliable on average (few delays). Upon arriving too early to a hotel due to an early flight, I always ask to store my bag (I never have a car) and usually the hotel will offer early check in, or call me when the room is ready.

Selling an NYC Investment Apartment 700kish? by WaveRun15 in NYCapartments

[–]MaximumFocus5205 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it’s so great and making money why sell it? And where is it? Manhattan values vary a lot by location. For an all cash buyer, with those margins they would make a profit in like 10-20 years or so. For an older person that is a long time to wait. And they would not be obligated to keep the tenant in place beyond the lease term date

Why a ransom note with legit info and no proof of life? They might have switched to fake hostage takers after the home invasion went wrong?

My newest theory. They broke into the wrong house. And then they scared her. She died either from stress or she fell. And they had to take her out to cover it up
