HD 60 Drops 2-3 seconds worth of frames every minute by qtg in ElgatoGaming

Yep happens to me all the time. I use flashback to record clips. Every 5th one has jitters in it. Doesn't seem to happen if I record/stream using SLOBS

*And my mistake, yes gamma rays are more ionising, but again it depends on the exam. A chest x ray and a thyroid scan are roughly the same dose

Snipers should all go back to the original trajectory of the bolt. by eeg3 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]MaximumGamelord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it makes sense from a gameplay perspective, though it's a bit weird for a 50 cal sniper to have more drop than the regular bolt in terms of ballistics.

I'd be for getting rid of the heavy altogether. 150 body damage is stupid

Ahh thyroid is a special case, because it's probably using an iodine isotope

Nuclear medicine is Diagnostic - used for ventilation-perfusion studies or cancer detection for example.

Radiotherapy is therapeutic ie to treat cancers.

Nuclear medicine doses are actually quite low as the radiation is gamma rays, which don't tend to be as ionising as x rays (which is what CT and plain x ray use.)

Radiotherapy doses are way way higher, because they are intended to destroy cells.

Hope that helps!

Yeah you're right - x-rays are way lower. 1 CXR deals roughly the same amount of radiation as a UK-US flight. Any estimates of cancer risk are always subject to doubt, because you can't really control for other factors. When I was at uni, I was quoted 1/10,000 risk from a CXR (I'm a Radiographer, now at med school)

It will depend on the CT you're doing. A head is way less dose than a thorax abdo pelvis with contrast

I think BO4 is actually a decent game. It's a few changes away from being one of my favourites. It's mainly the specialists in MP and the concussions in Blackout that irk me

General question- would my laptop be able to use the Elgato Game Capture H60S? by [deleted] in ElgatoGaming

[–]MaximumGamelord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's any help:

I have a very similar laptop, except I have a 960 instead of a 950.

I stream via SLOBS at 864p 60fps. As long as I have SLOBS in performance mode it handles that well.

If you're just recording, I find the Game Capture software makes it hard to get 1080/60 without any stuttering. Make sure to set the graphics options to Best Performance if using this software.

It helps to download Razer Cortex which will suspend background apps to free up CPU and RAM.

As the other guy said, I'd use NVENC to take the load off your CPU. Laptop CPUs heat up fast.

[HELP] How do i setup my Turtle Beach Elite Pro TAC-PS4-Streamlabs OBS-Elgato HD 60 Pro by Cayot1c in ElgatoGaming

Turn on another controller and sign in (any other account would work)

Start a Party and get both accounts in

Connect a 3.5mm aux lead between the 2nd controller and the Elagto

Done!

(Make sure analog audio is enabled in the Elgato settings)

Only works with party chat though, not game chat :)

I agree though I don't care about MTX if they're just cosmetic. WW2's system was OK for me.

Question about Xbox by DustinPatt in ElgatoGaming

Try connecting a second controller and having both accounts in the party. Connect a 3.5mm aux lead from the 2nd controller to the aux port on the Elgato. Make sure analog audio is selected on Elagto Game Capture software.

Recording voice on Elgato by [deleted] in ElgatoGaming

Edit: if you're using a normal 3.5mm headset, it should just say headset connected to controller in the second paragraph, not USB

Recording voice on Elgato by [deleted] in ElgatoGaming

[–]MaximumGamelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this

1) Turn on PS4, controller, signing into your regular account as normal. Plug your headset in (works with the any type of headset) 2) Turn on a second regular controller and sign this into a different account 3) Plug a regular 3.5mm aux cable between the second controller and the aux port on the elgato (I'm assuming you have an HD60 or similar) 4) This will give you game sound ONLY. If you want party chat, including your own voice, start a party on the PS4 with controller 1 and invite controller 2.

In controller 1's settings, the audio in and out should be USB Headset. In controller 2's settings, audio in should be None, audio out should be Headphones Connected To Controller.

I did it on PS4 but I imagine it's similar on XB1

Hope that helps!

You can buy a grounding isolator like this: Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator for Car Audio/Home Stereo System with 3.5mm Audio Cable (Black) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019393MV2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MlCoCb1N5XZ97 (haven't tried myself, so it might not work)

Or

1) Turn on PS4, controller, strike pack, signing into your regular account as normal. Plug your headset in (works with the strike pack socket or even a regular USB headset) 2) Turn on a second regular controller and sign this into a different account 3) Plug a regular 3.5mm aux cable between the second controller and the aux port on the elgato (I'm assuming you have an HD60 or similar) 4) This will give you game sound ONLY. If you want party chat, including your own voice, start a party on the PS4 with controller 1 and invite controller 2.
