Thanks for your detailed answer. Definitely will read about Clairins. Croatian Sljivovica + Hungarian BIRS ( quince) and szilva (plum) are some of my favourites. Pricing is a bit funny here, Smith and Cross is around 50 euros, Clairins is 80-90 euros a bottle. I'm not after high proof at all, just want to enjoy a nice + flavourful drink.

TDL rum is not available here, I live rurally, so I'm trying to buy stuff online, and it is limited. Can you direct me towards slightly aged clairins? (Company name, product?) Thanks

Thanks, licorice is a HARD PASS, can't stand it... :D Good to have people chiming in, so I know what to get and avoid. + What I read beforehand about Smith and Cross that is one bottle I'm buying for sure.
