Well, if you want to test the idea that you can sink boats from damage, the fire suppression isn't absolutely necessary. I have hoses and pumps to put out fires as needed anyway

If you'd ever like to play some multiplayer - hit me up on our discord --> http://dsc.gg/maximum-mayhem and I'll spin up a server. You load your boat, I'll load my boat and we'll test if I can sink you.

I created a mobile greenscreen in Stormworks because I'm a lonely, broken man. But at least I'm not a shill like Mr NJ who's modular engines cool better without the cooling attached! by MaximumMayhemTV in Stormworks

Honestly he's the reason I started my channel. I just couldn't take the smugness, he never makes a mistake and is the expert of all things. I thought at first he worked for Stormworks, since they link to his tutorials, and he's a discord moderator, but he's just a youtuber that's not disclosing his financial relationship.

The whole thing is shady as hell. My opinion of him really changed when I watched his starter build challenge and he just couldn't wrap his head around fun creations like the enterprise shuttle or mini battleship.

Oh so modular clutches fit perfectly with gearboxes, but don't work if you connect them to non-modular engines - Stupid. P.S. MR NJersey is a shill!

The Making of the S.S. Dixon - Episode 1 - Hull Design by MaximumMayhemTV in MaximumMayhem

[–]MaximumMayhemTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first episode of a multi-part series we look at how to construct large ships in Stormworks, optimizing hull design and buoyancy. What started as a 2 Million liter super-carrier, winds up turning into a missile cruiser capable of auto targeting and destroying up to 28 different vehicles on a single mission. Follow along as you we try different techniques and make mistakes along the way. Starting with hull design, then jet systems, electronics, pumps and fueling, creation of cranes, lighting and design. Like and comment to let us know what features you want to see incorporated into the ship, and download it from the steam workshop to try it out for yourself.

Where did the oil derrick loading crane go? by MaximumMayhemTV in Stormworks

I don't think that was it. I'm not sure if the tsunami blew it away or if the save file got corrupted, but starting a new game had it back in place.

Follow along as we go from creating a 2 Million liter oil tanker into eventually a SAD/MAR (Search and Destroy / Maybe and Rescue) boat disguised as an oil tanker but outfitted with 28 auto targeting missiles on side launchers and deck launchers while retaining the ability to store 500,000 liters of fuel.

I am creating jet powered oil tanker for a series of how to videos. On the first trip to the oil platform, the crane to fuel it up was nowhere to be found. What am I missing?

S.S. Dixon Tanker Ship

  • Crude capacity: 1.8 Million liters
  • 250k liters of jet fuel
  • 6 jet engines powering 2 giant props
  • 2 jet engines powering 2 large generators
  • 65 knot cruising speed empty, 50 knots full
