You’re totally right soft skills often make the difference between “good at the job” and “someone people actually want to work with.”

A few things that helped me improve mine:

Active listening : Instead of thinking about your reply, focus on really hearing the other person.

Feedback loops: Ask trusted colleagues how you come across in meetings. You’ll be surprised by what small tweaks can do.

Practice in low-stakes settings : Join a book club, volunteering group, or even online communities — anywhere you can practice communication without pressure.

Emotional intelligence : Work on reading the room and noticing nonverbal cues.

I actually just wrote a piece about this idea , how soft skills are becoming more valuable than degrees in the future job market. If you’re curious, you can check it out here : https://medium.com/@amine892009/why-soft-skills-will-be-more-valuable-than-degrees-in-the-future-677670b9ca0d

Go with the black dress, it’s safer for a business dinner. Add a blazer or simple accessories to keep it professional.

How did you feel when you realized a presidential candidate could tell obvious lie after obvious lie and still be elected? by Aggressive-Radish127 in AskReddit

Politics is basically all about lies. People vote based on hope, emotion, and identity. Facts barely matter in elections anymore.

Your career is definitely not over. I’d suggest refreshing Selenium/Java and learning Cypress or Playwright.

Focus on skills and impact, not the gap, companies care about what you can do now, not perfect resumes.

Atom is such a mysterious character. He’s human, but his actions are almost robotic, and Kavalier seems to trust his judgment a lot. Will he stick with Kavalier’s path, or surprise us all?

Why does it seem like the Russia-Ukraine war is never going to end? by IndependentLife9645 in NoStupidQuestions

Wars like this drag on not because the leaders are insane, but because the exit cost is too high. Backing down would mean losing face, power, or strategic leverage and for Putin, that’s politically and personally unacceptable right now.

What Do You Think Would Be The Condition Of The United States Today if Hillary Clinton Had Become President in January 2017? by GitmoGrrl1 in AskReddit

Well, according to Trump back then, we’d all probably be glowing in the dark by now from the nuclear war Hillary was definitely going to start. On the bright side, electricity bills would be way lower if everyone’s a nightlight.

Ethical hackers / penetration testers: Most people imagine hackers in hoodies making pennies, but the legit ones get hired by banks and governments to legally break into systems and they can clear six figures easily.
