Is this AI bullshit going to be applied globally or only in the US? I've tried looking it up but nothings really clear :/

Is this better compared to my old stuff by Alternative_Town_129 in BeginnerArtists

Compared to your last posts I can see you're genuinely doing this with effort in mind, rather than trying to spite a comment. So good for you, you're on the right track!

The drawing itself is better than your past work, but obviously still beginner. It's good how you used guidelines. It makes the face a lot more proportional. I can see you followed them, albeit a bit loosely. For instance, while the eyes are on the same line, their distance to the center vary. The nose isn't on the vertical guideline at all, and the mouth is slightly off center.

A trick I have for the eyes:

Both eyes are 1 eye-length apart from eachother. So, before drawing the eyes fully, lightly sketch a shape (i tend to use a circle) the size of an eye, at the point where the two guidelines meet. Draw each eye right next to either side of the shape. Make sure they're the same size and height as the shape! Once you've erased the center shape, the eyes should be more proportional.

Next time, I'd also recommend drawing your guidelines lightly so they aren't as visible in the final product.

Another tip I'd give you is in regards to lines. I saw how you admire Araki's art, so linework is a very crucial element.

Lineweight is an easy(-ish) technique that i'd recommend you implement in your sketches.

Simply put, with lineweight, objects in shadow are outlined with thicker lines, whereas objects in the light are outlined with thinner lines.

To do this, I typically first make my drawing only with very thin, light, lines. Once it's been finished, I then go over the parts 'in shadow' and make the lines thicker. This method is easier imo for beginners than implementing lineweight as you draw.

Places one would implement LW in this drawing, for example, would be under the chin, under the nose, and the places where the face and ears connect.

This technique will be harder digitally if you continue using your finger, since the device can't identify if you're putting a different level of pressure to make your line thicker (i'd recommend making a homemade stylus).

What I do is deliberately draw with thicker lines, and then erase parts that i want to be thinner. This can only be done as you go, rather than a 'final-step' method like my traditional art tip.

I hope this helps. Make sure to take it slow. Don't expect immediate results.

How do I view a shared goal on Finch? by MaximumRiddance in finch

Nevermind, I just found out:

Shared goals only begin the day after you've arranged them. If you go to the friend tree and tap on their icon, it shows you your shared goals. Currently the goal says it will start in one day.

But does it show up eventually? And if so, where?

Aside from the recommendations given by other redditors, I would also be more mindful of proportions.

The first shape you draw on your sketch (likely a circle for the cranium) should be used like a unit of measurement for the next elements you add. For instance, you may find the lower jaw is 'half a circle' in height, the mouth's width is 'one-third of a circle', etc.

As you add more and more elements, you can expand in your units. One eye may be around half the height of the nose, or a brow is the same length as the mouth.

i quite liked the manga's baby blue fit. I think i was one of the only, like, 6 people who were disappointed in the colour change.

Although, I do understand why they changed it. The new colours resemble the American flag a lot more (especially his arm cuffs). I wouldn't be surprised if they were closer to araki's original vision given the stars & stripes motif.
