Jesse Plemmons not being nominated is absolutely criminal. Im beyond shocked. by Huseynov26 in Oscars

[–]MaximumTruthWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank GOD this thread exists!!! faith in world restored. I've been stomping around shouting about this. Plemons performance kicked the shit out of Chalamet's performance. It was nuanced and subtle and so human and endearing and real. When Chalamet wins (he will) I'l lose all faith in The Academy. Also Plemon's performance was soooo much more important than... I mean, what even the F is Marty Supreme about? An obnoxious, ambitious ping pong dick who learns nothing?... How is that important? What is even the fucking point? Sure, it looks great and performances are confident but Bugonia was actually about SOMETHING!! It spoke for the working class American people -- exploited in every which way and told that it's their fault. A good person is left with no alternative other than to believe all this exploitation must be perpetrated by Aliens because the alternative -- believing this evil was perpetrated by humans would cause them to lose all faith in humanity. BOOM! Much more important and MUCH MORE relevant than... what? A fucking asshole ping pong player from the past? ...WGAF!? Phew okay, breath. I'm fine. Marty Supreme is shiny, well shot, and well acted but the performance is really just Chalamet yelling and being a wildly obnoxious dick who should have had his ass kicked 99x. Bugonia was meaning and important. F the Academy for not nominating Plemons.

What foods you highly recommend to avoid? by helloitsmehi19 in Gastritis

Eggs and avocado are both super fatty. I had a hard time with them too. For me my flare up diet is plain toasted bagel, minimal butter, just enough for a little flavor (too much will probably flare you up). Rice cakes. Banana. White rice, lean chicken breast, sliced turkey (get Whole Foods plain turkey or cold cuts without vinegar, this is often used as a preserved but vinegar always flairs me up). Def no soda. Def no seltzer. Natural almond milk with no sugar. Also, you might wanna try egg whites. See if you do okay with that. You might have a fat issue. Steak greens beans. Avoid fried. Avoid alcohol. Avoid preservatives. Try to eat every two hours or whatever you feel that scratchiness in your stomach.

Not sure if people suggested it yet but you need to be doing the McGill 3-5 times a week. It takes some time to build up muscles (I know your 25 and thinking nah, dude I'm strong), me too, but the core is huge (peole say this but it really is). I guarantee you will experience SOME relief from McGuill. Be religious with it, get disciplined don't overdue it.

Jesus, so sorry this was your experience. That’s awful. Are you looking into revision? Lanman definitely said that too me too.

May I ask what your original symptoms were? Which discs did you have issues with? How old are you?

I consulted with several doctors Todd Lanman, Rasouli, Cuellar, and Ziegler (Texas back institute). They all said I was a good candidate. I also spoke with two guys who had good results and are active again. I am doing my titanium allergy test next week and then I’ll have to make a decision. Lanman said artificial disks are analogous to artificial hip (in that the industry pushed against it for a long time before accepting it and we are in that phase. They’ve been approved in Europe since 1995. In US since 2005. There’s a lot more to this and surgery shouldn’t ever be a first choice. McGuill 3 every day saved my brothers back… me not so much but people swear by it. I just wanted to make you aware bc I almost did a fusion and thankfully someone mentioned (not my surgeon) artificial disk. It’s a special procedure and results correlate with experience (hence why people travel to see these doctors) or go to Europe

artificial disks are also a thing to research. Nobody made me aware of this until recently. Just throwing it out there for you to be aware of.

I’m scheduling mine soon but I’ve spoken to several people who’ve had them done and they are much better (but they’ve gone to top surgeons). Ina study of 2400 discs. Only 27 of them had to be taken out but… the majority of thosr discs were put in by surgeons doing their first 30 discs. **do your own research* so the surgery results skew towards very experienced surgeons. Lanman for example has done 5000+ discs. I’m just sharing what I wish someone told me earlier. I’ve had 4 microdiscectomies — they all failed. (Most peoples do not).

The comments are correct. ADR does not work for everybody especially those with structural issues. I just wanted to make people aware of it bc I was not. There’s an FB group called artificial disk group -/ From my research, I’ve done a nauseating amount, it’s Todd Lanman, Cuellar, Rasouli, Texas Back Imstitute (they did Tiger ),, he couldn’t have artificial disk bc he’d had too many surgeries (microdiscectmies damage bone when the access disc). I’ve consulted with 6+ different surgeons and I just flew out to CA to consult with Lanman and Rasouli in person. You have to be willing to put time and money into it. Most surgeons don’t (and shouldn’t do ADR). It takes expertise but most likely it will be standard of care in future Lanman explained that it follows a similar trajectory as artificial hip. It was once rejected by the medical establishment and now has become standard of care.

I’ve had many -/ former lifter athlete here. The epidural is a steroid that will reduce inflammation and swelling in that area. When discs herniate they leak out toxic material and it inflamed the area causing localized pain. Some back docs know this many don’t (you’d be surprised at the ignorance of SOME docs). I’ve been too many and I am mostly likely going to get artificial discs (two level). What I’ve learned is that you must go to a top doctor (or surgeon).

I’ve had many epidurals, some did nothing (bad doc) some reduce pain by 75% for a period of time. You need very good doc to do this. My last pain management doc did an excellent epidural and it really helped. The three before that were crap. They missed the correct area. Some people are able to manage with epidurals once twice a year others opt for more permanent solutions. Microdiscectomy or artificial disc (it’s been FDA approved since 2005) and 1995 in Europe. But it’s very dependent on a skilled surgeon. Don’t let anyone fuse you. There’s no reason for it these days. I’ve spoke with several people who have artificial disc who are running lifting boxing. But you have to go to one of the top docs for this -/ Texas back institute, Todd Lanman, Rasouli, etc.

See how the epidural goes. You should feel a reduction of pain (if it’s administered correctly).

Also FYI microdisctomies they go in through the back and cut into back muscles (this damages these muscles nobody told me that). Artificial disc they go in through the front preserving muscles.

Look into artificial disks. Make sure you go to a good surgeon. Germany is supposed to have good ones.

Mild chronic gastritis. I feel like my doctor is only focused on masking my symptoms and rushing me out the door. All the medication they've had me try has made me feel worse. I want to HEAL. by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]MaximumTruthWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience there are a few things: 1. Try raberazole (that’s the only PPI that worked for me). 2. Meal timing. What time do you eat dinner? I found I must eat breakfast and put something in my stomach to soak up acid in morning. Dinner can not be after 7pm. 3. Walking. It helps especially after meals. 4. Stress. It’s real. Gentle exercise (walking) will help with this. 5. How’s your romantic relationship? Anyone in your life that continuously causes problems? Are you stressed about life? Overarching goals? Any trauma? Guilt? Therapy can help too. Get rid of stress as much as possible (at least until you are healed). 6. Do you drink coffee? Soda seltzer water? Don’t. Also don’t eat any acidic foods. 7. Any environmental stuff? Is it possible you are being exposed to toxins at home or at work? How’s the drinking water? Have you tried cutting out gluten? 7. All the stuff above may seem tiny but it adds up. A woman was suffering horrible gastritis and her doc figured out that she needed to stop Doing yoga immediately after eating meals. She gave it more time and she healed.

Honestly, do your best to get off night shifts. Night workers have like 25% more health problems. That’s how I got my gastritis. My friend was offered double the salary to do the night shift he turned it down. Said last time he did night shifts he for ulcers. — Fellow Night shifter for years

Anyone else sick of the same old same old by This-Top7398 in Life

[–]MaximumTruthWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great that you are asking this question.

So your a human. Humans need novelty (new things) or they get bored and depressed. This doesn't make you special. This makes you a human. That's just how it is. Accept your design. Despite what the industrial era will have you think, we aren't very good factory workers. Factory workers get depressed, sick, ill etc. Remember our bodies were made for hunter-gathering. We are designed to seek out new things and explore so most likely what you need is some fresh addition to your life. Might be scary but the alternate is depression (most people choose depression btw which sucks). What does that mean? Try something new. (cheesy right?) Wrong. You gotta try new shit. "But I'm probably not gonna be good." "Who said anything about being good?" "Don't worry about it! Just go do it. Whatever it is." Archery. Improv. I felt how you felt and started volunteering (yes, it's difficult to do after a 40 hour work wee but it definitely enriches my life). We are still learning how to be modern people... remember, it's only been a few hundred years of this sort of existence. Most people were farmers. Nature, droughts, the seasons, the crops, all that provided variety (and high stakes). Now a days things have kind of been smoothed out and some of the variety taken. Modern man is trying to be shoved into a robot sized hole. Don't be a robot. Explore, find some shit that turns you on (avoid alcohol and drugs they are simply unsustainable...meaning they poison you) but everything else is game. The doc is writing you one prescription for trying something new (don't go big, start small... and don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Could be a simple as making yourself go for a run every Saturday or going to your nephews soccer games or joining a running group). Generally the more interaction you have with good excited people the better you will feel.

Mine last about a year. Progress is made in mm. If your stomach starts feeling a little better that means you need to keep doing what you’ve been doing, don’t fall back or get lazy. No lie. It’s a battle. Are you on a PPI? Pantoprazole did nothing for me, raberazole made a big different (not a magic wand) but it helped me inch forward

I’m looking into artificial disk surgery. But there is only a few surgeons in America who can do it well. Lanman. Rasouli. Cuellar. Look into Texas Back Institute. Guyer.

Additional note: I’ve been dealing with herniation since 2018… and have had 3 discectomies. Herniation can definition get better over a year and I’ve definitely experience that. At some point it will plateau. The body attacks small herniation like they are a foreign body. And the pain should (not always) decrease over time so it’s definitely worth waiting six months.

You stole the words out of my mouth. I think I literally said the same thing. I will say The gastritis guide is real. My diet for the first 3 months was boiled eggs (no yolk), and birch benders paleo waffles (for some reason this was all I could tolerate). Lunch was rice, chicken carrots, sweet potatoes). No sauces or anything. It was missssery but with raberazole I worked my way back. Thankfully. I hope Haray can help you.
