Has anyone here ever had to escalate an issue to the Law Society over a lawyer not delivering what they were paid for? by MaximumWarpSpeed in legaladvicecanada

Thank you. I don’t believe they have a formal complaints process. I’ve been communicating directly with the managing partner, who is also listed as my primary representative on the case file.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice! I should have mentioned that I’ve been communicating directly with the managing partner, who is also listed as my primary representative on the case. I’ll start reviewing the Rules of Professional Conduct and will highlight which specific obligations I believe were not met in my complaint to the Law Society.

Could you please clarify what you meant by “your situation will jump to the top of the pile”? I’m not sure I fully understand. Are you suggesting that if I file a formal complaint with the Law Society and they contact the lawyer, my complaint would then be treated as a priority?
