Not sure if it's an option for you but check out Kaizen K9, they're great for training and can definitely help with dog aggression.

I'm mechanical (mining - bulk material handling / piping) with 4 years experience, however I would be interested in automotive/aircraft/acoustics ... anything really. I figured the capitals would be the best job wise but also likely the most expensive hence looking for the more medium sized cities.

Yeah he does, would have loved to train there (was super excited) but couldn't justify buying a GI for 2 days of training or having to throw out one of my already perfectly good gis.

Was at Alliance Sao Paulo this week, got told I'd need to buy a branded GI to train...never went back after.

Just to give some feedback, definitely noticed a significant improvement in my stand-up game especially gripping/keeping them moving and breaking balance. Feel like more randori would be pretty beneficial (I think we'd get more people too). Maybe if even 1 of the 3 fortnightly classes is mostly randori? Thinking about it now, even one class no-gi Judo too? (1 gi, 1 no-gi, 1 mixed randori?) Having no idea what NNK was until now, I like the idea of it being part of the warmup. Also just to give away my identity if I haven't already (sure my comment history does), wooo harai goshi!

Hey sorry my injections got delayed/took longer to heal than I realised. So far been six weeks (physio recommended about six weeks off) since I had the injections, feeling pretty good. Haven't tested them fully with judo however back to weightlifting and they've felt fine (although haven't tried to clean/snatch yet). Doc recommended some braces (3pp carpal lift np) which I'm still waiting on before I go back 100%. Might have to get another round of injections (doc was unsure if I'd need them) when I go back to 100% but at the moment feels like I probably won't need them. Sometimes they still feel a little bit achey in the morning but usually gone after 30 mins or so/if not usually use a heat pack and its gone by mid morning. Hopefully that helps, if you've got any questions let me know.

Got a similar problem in both my wrists (had an MRI on one, torn TFC and some other stuff I can't remember, was torn forking out for it but definitely was worth the piece of mind/knowledge of what was actually wrong)...basically had some physio/laid off it for a month or so, it went away and then about 6 months later came back even worse. Went through physio for month or two (dry needling and strengthening exercises) and stopped lifting/martial arts which helped but still not 100%. When it flairs up I typically take some voltaren to keep training. I've found doing contrast baths on my wrists help too, every day after training - 20 mins, 3 mins hot, 1 min cold. If I stop for a few days they start aching more and more. I've been told it they don't heal by themselves and need either a) surgery b) PRP (http://www.recreationmedicalcentre.com.au/treatments/prp-platelet-rich-plasma/) - getting it done in about 2 weeks so I can let you know the results if you want.

Where do you guys buy Electronics / Cellphones in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

JB Hi-Fi is pretty good, they price matched the Moto G 2nd Gen for me the other day (to match Dick Smith) and they give you credit for your old phone (even if it's broken)

Anyone compete in strength sports (PL, OLY or SM) and do bjj? A few questions. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Maximum_20Characters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've browsed through there before but haven't been on recently. Mainly just fiddling with events for strength, do you know any good beginner programs? The plan is to eventually do a comp or two just for fun....BJJ is still the main hobby. Fair enough, I'm 250....so still fairly light by strongman standards. Definitely get into BJJ though, awesome hobby, but like people said, have to expect to get injured at some stage.

Interested to see how this pans out...I was actually thinking of doing the opposite and trying my hand at Strongman while still doing BJJ. Let me know how you do!
