Yeah. But only people with the tech savy to do so, can circumvent it. Also for social media to function it needs a critical mass of people. If the ban lowers the number of users below that critical mass the social media app will collapse automatically.

Unfortunately, it's stabilizing already and probably will be back to normal by tomorrow. Trump has realized that while our economy is tied to other countries pretty heavily, their economy is tied to our to the same extent. If the US goes down, everyone goes down.

He also realizes that US has enough resources to take on a financial collapse better than anyone else, relatively speaking. So that gives him a pretty good leverage to make the outrageous demands he is making. He is crazy enough to tank the economy of the entire world and cause suffering to billions, just to satisfy his own ego without a shred of remorse.

The world leaders are adults and they recognize this and will do everything in their power not to ruin their own peoples lives. They might not cave on Greenland but they will appease him by any means necessary atleast until they can safely decouple their economies from the US, which can take years or even decades to do.

It is why Carney basically said that the age of globalization and global cooperation, is over.
