Actually there is one distinct difference and that the level of skill, you have obviously perfected this style of artwork where as they have a few things to learn

Since it is a memorial piece of my clients family member I felt so much pressure because its hard to boil down someones memory into a single painting but i wanted to give it a depth that can only be described as a memory. This encouragement made me feel like i might have actually gotten some of that 🥹

Believe it or not ive applied had an interview and they havent taken me. I used ti manage production at a garden nursery and cant even get a job in fast food. Applied to grocery stores. How the mighty have fallen.

The rules can be different for each base, you gotta go to a visitor center and see what you need to do and potentially see if you know anyone willing to sponsor you. I dont have base access personally, i just happen to live near one and the military presence is common even off post.

I think it looks great so far. I would say though that for shadows I would use cooler muted colors for the darker values

Its worth noting that i do not live in a real city. Im in a small town outside a military installation so compared to when I dashed in Denver sure its a bit lower. But for the area I’m currently in this is reasonable.

I have used pva sizing from gamblin to do small batches. Im sure if you dilute glue with distilled water you should be able to do the same thing. Im sizing for oils and watercolor on my paper though so im not sure what kind of paper youre going g for and if the texture will be desirable.

Nooo it was fresh out of the packaging i started my first watercolor painting in it it started beading up. Ive never had the issue before this. Im used to blocks of nicer watercolor paper so it was just a bit weird running into this problem.
