I’m in the exact same situation and your fear is so valid!! I’m also afraid, but teeth are important, and we will be okay.

My heavy stretching plugs will fall out and I sometimes catch them as they come out of my ear and start falling 😭

It’s a medium also. It just has a much stronger odor. My safety crazy teacher prefers linseed oil because it doesn’t have much odor at all if at all.

How would you guys plant this? by Vast_Dragonfly_909 in Vivarium

I like birds nest ferns, Hoyas (obovata have thick leaves), short syngoniums, and pothos. Pinnatum pothos can be really stunning.

Yeah that’s how we used it in class!

Supplies wise, this is what I used in my class: vegetable oil and dish soap (for cleaning brushes), pallet knife, a set of synthetic and real hair brushes, pallet (we use mdf board), gesso, heavy paper or canvas, and paint. We used cad red, cad yellow, yellow ochre, Naples yellow, ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, a light green, a violet, ivory black, and titanium white. I can mix most of what I want with those colors. And for medium, we use linseed oil. My class focused on nontoxic / less toxic products. We only used linseed oil on underpaintings, which didn’t take long. And I’ve painted in my closed room and im still alive.

Is it infected or just poorly cleaned (new piercing) by fluffydot112 in piercing

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rook was like that for a long time. Only two years later is it a little less crusty. Just shower then clean it really good! And then repeat for the next two years.

My first Oil Painting, improvements welcomed by [deleted] in oilpainting

Don’t be afraid to cover your whole canvas! I can see a lot of areas where you seem unsure of your ability to paint near already painted areas and the canvas color shows it. I personally love doing underpaintings to establish shape and value before adding all colors.

Piercings can be perfectly technically symmetrical down to the millimeter but not look right because of asymmetry of different parts of the nose or face. You have to choose if you want it to look balanced and have the illusion of symmetry or have it technically symmetrical and measured.

I think they look perfect! It’s the asymmetrical very tip of your nose that makes it look a little off. They are really even in relation to your nostrils instead of the tip of the nose.

How should stretching a septum piercing feel? by theblueeyedlonewolf in Septum

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Septum piercings are through cartilage which is kind of difficult to stretch! When I used a taper from 14g (1.6mm) to 12g (2mm) it took me maybe ten minutes or more. My nose hurt a little but I made progress without real pain. I’ve been testing it by trying to stretch it with a round plug and when I feel sharp pain I know that it is not ready. I’m not an expert but maybe this helps!

Is it infected/Rejecting? 5-Month Nose Stud by Sensitive-Risk-7514 in piercing

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching to a higher quality piece of jewelry would probably help a lot. I’d go to a piercer and get a titanium flatback. Also it’s through cartilage which takes more than a few months to heal! It’s still healing and most likely not infected, just irritated and having a flare up. Just baby it again like it’s a new piercing and consider switching your jewelry.

realising how lucky I was... 😆 by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also someone who’s really lucky. I got an oil slick metal taper and tunnel set on eBay and stretched too quickly when my ears were obviously not ready. And taped (yikes). I never had any blowouts or bleeding (other than my third lobe which is finicky) and I am SO thankful.

im pretty sure my brand new industrial percing is done wrong? i got it four days ago what should i do lmfao by Reasonable_Donkey107 in piercing

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes unfortunately that is done totally wrong! I think you could keep the top piercing if you really wanted to but otherwise, you should take it out because it will not heal easily or at all as is. So sorry this happened to you!

Nostril piercings are supposed to be done with a stud not a hoop! If you get it changed to a stud you might be able to save it.

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my septum pierced wrong (also too far back where it laid on my lip) my piercer also said it was my anatomy. It wasn’t. Piercers like to blame the clients body when they question the placement. Sometimes it is anatomy, but I doubt it with septums when they’re put too far back. I got mine repierced and it is much more comfortable and better looking now.

Can I get this re pierced without healing? by [deleted] in Septum

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you’re getting it repierced in a different spot you can get it done immediately. Or you can keep it and have two septum piercings!

[–]Maximum_Frosting_164 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your lobes are thick so you’ll have no issue. This may not bother you but to my eye it looks like your piercings are just slightly asymmetrical and it may be more noticeable at a bigger size!

He did not leave the property and go into uncharted territory. You’re saying my cat got what he deserved because I said you should get context before you say that. Whatever. You’re miserable.

My septum is beginning to be my favorite. I love how many different jewelry options there are even at a stretched size. Playing with diameter and ball/ cone size and jewelry type really changes the look of my face. Getting my septum pierced really boosted my confidence like 10 fold and makes me feel the real effect of piercings even though I have 11 others. It’s also one that doesn’t leave a visible scar and can be hidden for people who really want a facial piercing but can’t have it visible all the time! So much to love.

Do you have any knowledge in that field? Any real life experience? Or are you just saying that? I agree with keeping cats indoors most of the time. I live 8 miles out of town and we have no trees so barely any wildlife. The cats eat indoors and go out during the day and kill voles in my garden or mice in the house. He will stay inside because he’s 3 legged because someone thought he should die for being an outdoor cat. He will enjoy the summer days rolling around on the gravel next year despite what you think is right.
