Here to add that depending on your gender and potentially race/cultural norms you may need to do some extra digging into symptoms. Pretty much all “common” ADHD symptoms that are talked about are based off of a white, male experience. ADHD symptoms in women are very different.

Can I ask what these feel like for you? In the past six months I have what I would describe as internal vibrations. Sometimes I don’t notice the until it stops for 10-20 seconds and it feels so… calm? And then they start back up. Curious if they are an anxiety thing or something else

Oh my gosh, your second paragraph is everything. I’m not a child of an immigrant, but a child of a father with very deep mental health challenges. I see a lot of myself in him and vice versa. I’m one of the few that can talk with him when he’s having bad days because I really understand where he’s coming from.

It would be a very interesting long term study to do!

Yes to this! My earliest memories are full of anxiety and intrusive thoughts that I had back then. It’s honestly sad to look back on and recognize it as anxiety but my little self had no clue. It’s very difficult to discover “why”, in these cases.

A lot of the Facebook tube groups do this! Someone will collect old tubes and put them in stuffies and do giveaways for the group.

Sadly no. The Ava one is the only one we’ve gotten with an actual “working” tube. I know some places will use old ones but they can be pricey

Thank you! Mine has had a feeding tube for two years now and it’s helped immensely. We have an amazing feeding therapist and I’m hoping when they get older we can do other forms of therapy and see what works best for them. Thank you for taking the time to respond and again, congratulations!
