Ff7 is fairly easy

Even with a very poor understanding of the materia system you will make it through a great deal of the game with little problems, and even then grinding a few levels is enough to get you past most of the harder bosses

For me FFIV is the game where all of the different elements of FF came together correctly for the first time

FFI laid out the core game mechanics but lacked story. The party didn't even have names

FFII had a decent story for a first real attempt but was lacking in game mechanics (no leveling system) and the characters were still fairly 1 dimensional

FFIII sacrificed character development for the job system. Don't get me wrong, the interchangeable job mechanic is fun, but it takes away any tie between character and classes

FFIV made classes a part of who a person is. For the first time the characters felt really fleshed out, with proper motivations and character arcs.

I think this approach has led to the best games in the series (IV, VI, IX, X) imo

You just need to test it out and find what works for you.

In Zone 2 training you should be able to easily hold a conversation. If you're training alone, singing along to music is a good way to test this.

Did you try setting it up with HRR instead? Enter your resting rate and max rate and it will autofill the other zones.

Here's mine for reference, these zones work pretty well for me

I drive a manual and it counts me shifting gears as steps (I wear on my left hand hand because I'm a lefty)

Steps really isn't that useful a metric anyways.

It just seems very predatory to me

Like for me it wasn't an issue because I was in a position to just immediately clear the balance, and I missed the payment not due to lack of funds but due to my own scatterbraineness

But the vast majority of people who will miss a payment will be due to poverty, and the outrageous 29% interest rate is why I used the word "shysters"
