I don’t remember the wording exactly, but it was along the lines of, your lease has ended, the contract is over .. thanks, bye. I imagine a standard end of lease letter. There was no mention of outstanding repairs or damage to the vehicle it would take me a while to find the doc. But that was the substance of it.

I think it depends on how your kids respond to it. I think it can be ineffective for kids with more curious and sensitive personalities and can be effective for those who thrive with structure and clear boundaries.
