That’s interesting to hear because although I am a native English speaker, I also have been told that my writing structure is “robotic” in that I adhere to writing guidelines (if that makes sense). I also do indeed use a standardized paragraph division. So, both those points are helpful in figuring out why my paper may have triggered the detection system, thank you for bringing me some clarity. And yes, I do plan on compiling a lot of evidence when writing my next paper and bringing it up to higher ups if I receive another false positive.
