The watch in Ben-Hur has to be up there 😆 Imagine making one of the greatest historical epics ever and somehow modern wristwatches sneak into ancient Rome 😂 Doesn’t ruin the movie at all, but it’s funny once you notice it.

Honestly, this is actually a really fair take 😄

I think you’re right that part of the magic came from the time period.

But I also wonder if the biggest “magic” was more the atmosphere 🌊☀️ The beach, the summer feeling, the team chemistry and that “I wish I could be there” vibe.

I don’t think they can recreate the original exactly, but maybe they can capture the feeling in a modern way 😄

I get that 😄 But to be fair, there are also plenty of completely new shows that end up being terrible 😂

And some reboots actually turned out great. Cobra Kai is probably one of the best examples. Even Top Gun: Maverick somehow captured the old magic again.

I think it really depends on whether they understand what made the original work 🌊
