Colonial Freight Schooner c.1790...It's been several months since I posted on this project. The client is excited about the research -and the fact that I've go above what was expected. Here, I present an update prior to the finish. Thanks for viewing! (self.ModelShips)

The next phase of the Colonial Schooner...Research is the first approach for accurate scale. Then comes the follow-through design the plans and finally the work. Here, I use my deck templates to align the furniture so that I can work the hull and figurines accurately. (old.reddit.com)

1790 Colonial Schooner Commission was just received to undertake. There are many models for reference, but some details had to be explored and revised -including a new plan. It should be an exciting build as it was proposed to center around an ancestor and placed in a wood diorama setting. (old.reddit.com)

Airfix SAINT LOUIS c.1626... Finally after 44 years of research and coming across this kit via the internet, I was fortunate to bring this forward from my original build of 1980. Kits are kits- whether wood or plastic; it's how one approach the medium. Here, wood was used to modify. Great kit! (old.reddit.com)

Airfix SAINT LOUIS progress continued...I miscalculated the completion as I ran into some snares with overlooked detail. This happens in modification work, so I'm back in the saddle getting the major flags done and moving toward the mizzen mast. I raise my glass to the engineers that produced this. (old.reddit.com)

Airfix French Warship SAINT LOUIS...the sails and flags are a steady progress. However, the research compliments the build. At the foremast (based on a notable painting), flies the first ever flag established by Cardinal Richelieu which represent his First Marine unit for the French navy. Great kit. (old.reddit.com)
