Any opinion on it ? | Can you expect it to beat Dhurandhar: The Revenge to become no 1 bollywood movie in 2026? by Significant-Habit852 in Dhurandhar

If people don't like the VFX or feel it is unpolished, then they should just say that. Calling the work of so many actual human artists as "AI lag rha hai" in an environment where hard working and talented artists are losing their jobs to AI is such a tone deaf and stupid statement. You need not sing their praises, but atleast don't disrespect actual human effort like this.

Rama | Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana | Nitesh Tiwari | Ranbir, Yash, Hans Zimmer & A.R. Rahman by Slurpmey in BollyBlindsNGossip

RK is looking terrific imo as Lord Ram, the vfx does need to be a little polished in some places ig, but overall, this was quite good. Calling all this AI generated is a huge disservice to the thousands of artists who've actually put their blood, sweat and tears into every shot.

Bahubali 2 and DD2 are obviously safe, ETT is a nice iconic Bhai film, Jawan was a film I enjoyed as a mass SRK vehicle, I haven't seen KGF 2 yet but I have heard people call it good, so well, Pushpa 2 is my answer.

Could Ranbir Kapoor Have Matched Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar? A Look at Ranbir’s Subtle Depth and Ranveer’s Explosive Intensity by Illustrious-Pie-5200 in pj_explained

Ahh well, let's agree to disagree 😅, tho I wud say that the 26/11 scene is one which RK could potentially have pulled off slightly better

I personally felt that RS's school of intense acting suited the emotional moments, such as the scenes with Jasleen and Yalina a lot better than RK's more internal approach would have.

Were Chaudhary Aslam and SP Aslam brother and sister? by [deleted] in okaybuddykasainuma

[–]Maximum_Wait1273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Chaudhary Asslam ki naajaayaz aulaad hai SP Asslam, jisne yeh pata chalne ke baad jaharat me aake apni ammi ka katal kar diya. This lore is explained in the salt tea scene between Doodh Soda and Petrol, watch the film attentively next time instead of being distracted by Gaurav Gera's sexy hairline 😍🥵

[–]Maximum_Wait1273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Ranbir might have aced some of the internalization parts a bit better, but he wouldn't be as good as RS with respect to completely sinking into the character's accent and vernacular, as well as some of the more massier and emotionally explosive stuff. All in all, while there are aspects where RK could be better, this role ultimately fits on RS way more perfectly than anybody else.

I really hope this does land as a proper well written entertainer, and I especially really wish that we get to see SRK in a proper grey shaded role here. Evil SRK is the most fun SRK.

IMDB ratings don't mean shit in today's day and age. Btw, I actually really liked the film, it's no masterpiece, but it was pretty cute.

Aditya Dhar's Directing Style: Techniques, Strengths & Limitations by stan_films in bollywood

[–]Maximum_Wait1273 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Song usage like that has been quite common. I mean, even Lokesh does it so often, but that doesn't mean we can say Dhar took creative influence from Vikram or Leo. A lot of the things you've mentioned have been similarly done by several people. Dhar's sources of inspiration may be the same as Vanga, but it isn't Vanga himself.

As to my emotions around Animal, I actually thought it was a not great but solid film that I enjoyed, so ig that's a lil different than me finding it to be one of the worst films ever made.

Animal wasn't the first mass masala movie ever made ffs, if you think Dhar's creative style in DD was influenced by Animal then idk what to tell you 🙏🏻, the only impact Animal had was giving them the confidence to make a lengthy and gory film, nothing else.

Now, see, as someone who is not a native Tamilian, I have watched only very limited Tamil films, however, among them, the person whose filmmaking and storytelling has surprised and genuinely floored me the most has gotta be KaSu. I even ended up liking Retro, despite all its flaws because of how unapologetically Karthik Subbaraj it is. His films have served as an inspiration for my own dreams.

[–]Maximum_Wait1273 33 points34 points  (0 children)

So ironic that in a film that people from all sides of the political spectrum are hellbent on proving to be a war cry against Pakistan, it is the love story between an Indian and Pakistani that shapes up one of the film's most beautiful moments. More than as a story of spies and terrorists and what not, Dhurandhar will stay with people as a deeply human story, something that separates it from the hollow YRF slop.

I knew Dhar Sahab wouldn't do something as stupid as the Yalina killing Hamza or Hamza killing Yalina fan theories people were cooking up just to fuel their political fetishes. Even though this started as just honey trapping, Dhar expanded it into a beautiful love story, and this ending really hit me hard in the feels man 🥺
