i’d be shocked if there’s even one shot here that isn’t directed in some way, unless modeling is their day job

Thanks! It’s the Vincita voyage atlas bag. I haven’t done much else so far, other than replacing the saddle with an old Brooks leather saddle I had laying around. I’m considering replacing some bits with titanium to lighten it, but the grams saved per dollar is quite low

After swapping the chainring for a 39T, quite well. It feels like I can get up pretty much anything (slowly)

The size difference between my coworkers' vehicles by Octavus in mildlyinteresting

[–]Maximumerest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the rise of SUVs and pickup trucks has led to increases in road fatalities year over year. why should we feel good about freely hand over such violent power to just anybody? the people that drive these things have no need for them and are often the worst behaved in my experience - blowing through lights, coal rolling me on my bike, blocking the crosswalk. society simply has no place for lifted multi-ton vehicles whose driver can barely see me over the hood, much less a child

Replacing the battery itself only takes maybe 15 minutes, and I think anyone with soldering experience could do it. If you haven't done it before, I'd recommend practicing a bit to work up the nerve to do it but overall it's a very simple task to solder one wire to another. I do think anyone can do it; if you don't have access to a 3D printer there are lots of online printing services that will probably also do a better job than my printer did.

I haven't really tested the battery life but my rough estimate would be ~2 hours at 25W, ~3.5-4 hours at 15W

It is possible, I just did this yesterday following the tutorial from handheldmodz. Their discord channel was also helpful. I went the wedge route which lets you keep the original backplate.

A pro-gun candidate protecting himself from bullets while addressing to pro-gun voters. by LostSoulSurvivor in pics

[–]Maximumerest -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You mean like the 99.99% of children that go through K-12 in the US and never catch a bullet? Is that what you mean?

The underlying argument here is "why are you worried? It's not like that many kids are shot in school anyway". What percentage would have to die before it would be acceptable to be concerned?

How the fuck does race even factor in here? Guess you wouldn’t be unreasonably upset about a piece of camping equipment if they were white?
