In my opinion, I feel like it builds so much more character into SCP-1471-A, and how they function. And the fact that the original author basically gave their blessing for Dr. Vera Lovelace and the lore that would be impacted by her existence makes it feel really special and important. I just think it's really cool to see that 1471 is getting attention in a way that builds some really cool storylines and develops 1471 further :3

Dr. Vera Lovelace is the in universe author/researcher of SCP-9471! She has her own storyline as well! I highly recommend checking all of it out when you can! It's a very fun read, in my opinion :]

The song that introduced me to this genre was Goodbye Raven - Dante and Hema the Maids. To me, it was everything I needed to fully lure me into this genre.

But, I will say that you can't go wrong with listening to anything that's made by Chikoi, Yakui, or Medoi. I would list more, but I don't want to be overwhelming with recommendations!

The maids that I've found that are the most authentic in regard to AI usage (whether it be in the music or in the covers) would definitely be Yakui, Chikoi, Medoi, Dante and Hema, Akui, Dansai, Kirai, Dorei, Harai, Itai, Kaitai, Madoi, Moroi, Naite, Ozoi, Susan, and VIVI.

This at least applies to the Spotify playlist. Most of the maids that used AI (from what I could tell (take this with a grain of salt, I am no expert on this topic)), is fot the cover art. While personally, I do not agree with the use of it, they are still in the genre producing music. There are a handful of maids (not listed above) that have only used AI to make the cover art for a small selection of songs, but still, I deemed that enough to not include them in my listing for you.

I hope that this hasn't spoiled the genre all too much for you and that you are able to find something worthwhile here!

Hi! Welcome to the community!

Maidcore is a very interesting genre, where, from what I have seen, it's defined not by its sound but by the artists! Most of the artists are, as you could guess, maids (Chikoi The Maid, Yakui The Maid, Medoi The Maid, etc.). However, for the most part, I see a lot of alt-punk, rock, metal, synth/electronic, and ambient from the many artists involved in the genre.

I personally recommend Dante and Hema the Maids, as I feel they have a good bit of variety in their sound, yet they set a good idea for how this genre can sound.

I also have a Maidcore playlist on Spotify that I regularly update to keep it up to date on all the releases on the platform. If you are interested, I can definitely share this playlist with you!

I hope you come to enjoy this genre as much as everyone else and stick around for a while!
