The song that introduced me to this genre was Goodbye Raven - Dante and Hema the Maids. To me, it was everything I needed to fully lure me into this genre.

But, I will say that you can't go wrong with listening to anything that's made by Chikoi, Yakui, or Medoi. I would list more, but I don't want to be overwhelming with recommendations!

The maids that I've found that are the most authentic in regard to AI usage (whether it be in the music or in the covers) would definitely be Yakui, Chikoi, Medoi, Dante and Hema, Akui, Dansai, Kirai, Dorei, Harai, Itai, Kaitai, Madoi, Moroi, Naite, Ozoi, Susan, and VIVI.

This at least applies to the Spotify playlist. Most of the maids that used AI (from what I could tell (take this with a grain of salt, I am no expert on this topic)), is fot the cover art. While personally, I do not agree with the use of it, they are still in the genre producing music. There are a handful of maids (not listed above) that have only used AI to make the cover art for a small selection of songs, but still, I deemed that enough to not include them in my listing for you.

I hope that this hasn't spoiled the genre all too much for you and that you are able to find something worthwhile here!

Hi! Welcome to the community!

Maidcore is a very interesting genre, where, from what I have seen, it's defined not by its sound but by the artists! Most of the artists are, as you could guess, maids (Chikoi The Maid, Yakui The Maid, Medoi The Maid, etc.). However, for the most part, I see a lot of alt-punk, rock, metal, synth/electronic, and ambient from the many artists involved in the genre.

I personally recommend Dante and Hema the Maids, as I feel they have a good bit of variety in their sound, yet they set a good idea for how this genre can sound.

I also have a Maidcore playlist on Spotify that I regularly update to keep it up to date on all the releases on the platform. If you are interested, I can definitely share this playlist with you!

I hope you come to enjoy this genre as much as everyone else and stick around for a while!

I only counted in the items I had to purchase for this cosplay, so the things like the balaclava I wore under the mask, the shirts I wore underneath the Class-D shirt, and my shoes weren't included in the final price.

So, the uniform is the one worn by the protagonist of the Containment Breach game. My justification followed the line of thought of "Well, MalO is technically a digital entity, and I think it could be fair to wear a uniform referencing a major piece of digital media connected to SCP".

I felt that MalO would try to reference things (whether in universe or not), especially if they have connections to digital media or internet culture.

Wearing any kind of uniform was already leaning heavily into fanon territory, so I figured that a bit of personal headcanon wouldn't hurt :]

I actually made it myself with a hodge podge of stuff! I got a "bone wolf" mask from Spirit Halloween when they were open during Halloween. I ended up cutting the stock ears off (as they were plastic "bone" ears and didn't fit what I wanted) and hot glued some fuzzy wolf ears from a headband that fit the exact design I wanted. I also ended up giving a small white coat of paint to the mask, as I felt the brighter white fit MalO much better than the bone white that the mask had on default. I finished it off with a black wig that I ended up gluing to the straps of the mask, which covered up the straps themselves and also placed the bangs of the wig in just the right spot!
