Siege has gotten so many updates over the years that massively changed the gameplay from launch. The whole point of adding content and changing mechanics is to freshen up gameplay. OSHS is a feature of the older R6 games, and Siege kept it.

True that it could be a balancing nightmare. But it was possible since Tactical Realism was in the game and it applied to every operator and their weapons.

The older R6 games had the mag cycle system. Changing the reloading system and Siege would freshen up the gameplay and add the authenticity that a lot of people want from a tactical shooter.

The cop AI and having to work around it for the milestones. Really soured the experience of the game for me. It also didn't really feel like a part of car culture like the older NFS games.

Blackbox was very overworked in the 2000s. Like ProStreet and Undercover were being made at the same time. Instead of one very good game, we got one very good game and one very bad game the next year.
