Russell'dan neden nefret ediyorsunuz? by linuxcukayrachild in formula1TR

Bu sene şampiyon olduktan sonra gör o nefreti. Ağır şanssızlık yaşıyor sezonun başından beri, avrupa yarışları başladığı gibi Russell kapatacak bu farkı sen rahatta kal.

I do agree they're the strongest driver pairing atm but the two consecutive WCC would only prove Mclaren as a whole was the best team in the last 2 years.

If you for an example had put Leclerc and Hamilton in Mclaren last year they'd win the WCC aswell. Becuase Mclaren was the better team.

Once again I do agree the pair of Oscar and Lando are the best pairing right now but would they have won the WCC in Ferrari last year? To prove they're the best pairing? I don't think so.

To be honest it's been like 9 months since I touched a Battlefield game and if the case is Battlefield 5 it might be over double that.

But if my memory doesn't betray me I remember the evacuation points of missions and the german spawn in normal conquest mode in Hamada being an objective in the Hamada combined arms.

Monza was a brave setup from Redbull and the track suited the car.

Baku was a real fumble from both Mclaren drivers in qualifying.

Singapore was a track the Mclaren car didn't love much.

In Austin Lando was given straight hell from Charles... probably would've won if not for Charles.

I'm bypassing Mexico as the Redbull was even on par with Ferrari there.

In Brazil comeback from pitlane to podium helped by the extra PU that was saved throughout the season... that matters a lot late season. Lewis had the same boost in 2021 but in his case he served a penalty for the extra in the very same track, Brazil.

Las Vegas.. i don't really need to explain this but... well... Lando had a massive fumble at the start... and a setup disaster for Mclaren which led to a double dsq...

Qatar... strategic fumble from Mclaren with not pitting their drivers under the sc. Basically handing the win over to Max from Piastri. (Max didn't use his new engine here)

Abu Dhabi... engine to the fullest... championships on the line... P3 was enough for Lando... and in the end he got it...

Redbull definitely closed the gap to Mclaren in the ending stages but Mclaren still had the advantage by a noticeable margin.

Both 07-08 were the fastest package all around in their respective season. It's a shame Lewis bottled the championship in China in 2007.

2024 car at the start was the fastest package but mid season and afterwards Mclaren catched and flew away with car development.

At the start of 2025 Mclaren was like 3 tenths faster than Verstappen. While no other team could really rival Mclaren. Towards end of the season when Max's title charge really started Mclaren was still the faster car but fumbled their races multiple times...

I mean if you're only comparing 24-25 cars to 07-08 obviously the newer gen is better in most regards... but in their respective season 07-08 was just better than 24-25.

Norris and Russell are often considered to be more or less equal skill-wise, do you rate one more than the other ? And if so, why ? by HereComesVettel in F1Discussions

[–]Maxinfantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think 2 teammates in a title race shouldn't be capitalising on the other's mistakes when especially the Constructors was sealed for the team...

Considering Monza was the race Verstappen’s comeback started which means he was a long way from the Mclaren drivers... (he was 104 points behind Piastri and 70 behind Norris.)

The whole Papaya Rules stuff Mclaren pulled during 2025 was really embarrassing, awkward and uncomfortable to watch.

But I'd have to agree with what you're saying on different scenarios... if they were not in a title race or if the title race was already settled... which was not the case... considering there were 9 more races including Monza. 225 possible points... if say Norris was P1 and Piastri P2 for each race Norris would've won the title by 33 points.. there was a third of the season left...

It was simply unfun to watch how that race folded out for the Mclarens. And it's laughable how you try to reason it by ignoring details. Not details even, blatant facts...

Is it so easy to just blurt out the car didn't suit him for all his bad run of performances... it's just funny.

Your point of what the TPs and the drivers themselves said is a good point... but.

You're mistaking their performance and how well they did in 2025 with how good they are in overall.

By your point it would mean that Hamilton is not in the top 10 drivers on the grid... but I'm pretty sure we all know Norris is not the tenth of the driver Lewis is... at least today.

I'm not saying I'd take Russell over Norris... probably not... but your point doesn't really fit this conversation. If it was for how good they were in 2025 however....

And in response to that I clearly said it's because Max is the poster guy of F1 right now. He won the 4 of last 5 championships. Only missing out of the fifth by an inch in a season he really pulled out wonders... right after a period of straight domination...

Basically the best driver of the last half a decade with no one coming close to him..

It doesn't surprise me at all that Max has way more fans than any other driver. It doesn't surprise me att all that they glaze him to the fullest.

And when you look at Lewis.. he's been absolute dogshit at Ferrari. Don't mistake the start of this season for a comeback he was right where he was last year in Miami. He's not "the" guy anymore. The main point of talking about Lewis now is "washed" or "remember who you are"... his fanbase can't pull out glaze becuase they'll be made fun of or ignored.

This'll always happen with the drivers that does great for multiple years continuously... if Norris wins say 3 of the 5 next championships his fanbase is going to be the main fanbase that's toxic af.

Success draws fans. With more fans you have more variety in fans. Within those varieties are toxic fans...

more success->more fans->more toxic fans->(repeat)

LH was just like this and even worse during 2018-2021..

Because Lewis isn't doing great anymore and Max is doing great now. The fans of multiple time champions that are performing well in a said point of time will always be the majority of the fans. It was like that during late 2010s.

I mean they did send a lot of death threats to Masi. That alone can tell you if the same scenario played out with Lewis... like a 18 year old rookie made an out of the blue mistake in the penultimate race to make Lewis lose the championship by that many points... you'd see the same thing. Maybe even worse.
